//RETURNING TO JEDI\\: NTSC & PAL DVD
Time
Hi Jambe and all,

Nice work on the movies, fascinating documentary, well i already told you all that a while ago. but i'm sure its nice to hear :-)

i was thinking, the torrent has been uploaded to many sites,
but its still the old one, how come the torrent isn't fixed ?
its real easy to do, it would save everyone the headache
if they didnt get the fix, including new downloaders.

First apply the fix on Jambe's computer (or the .torrent's uploader whoever wants to do it),
put the new ifos in there, then just create a new torrent and upload.

in the instructions, tell the people to delete the torrent in
their download list but keep the files they already have downloaded.
point this new torrent in the existing VIDEO_TS folder.
it will check the files and download only the new ifo.

The vob files haven't changed so no need to delete them and waste days redownloading them.

Torrent is built for things like that. easy as pie.

As for the files on rapidshare, just add one more .rar with paths to the downloads,
containing only the new .ifos to overwrite the ones in the other .rar files.

voila!

Quick and easy everyone will have the correct version.

good idea ?

Well it doesnt change the video speed either, 25fps so the sound is in sync.

My player's problem is that it doesnt read well the PAL disc info, but it can read any speeds, 23,997 25, 29 fps etc , and interlaced.
But its just the headers that trips it up. AN LG LDA-530.

So, i used the ifo editor and i did get watch the dvd, no sound troubles.

Thanks to JD for making these.

i tried dvdshrinking the DL to SL using the latest ifos on the 1st page, however, the text is troncated on the sides on my tv.
but its all there on computer.

must be a pan&scan problem or auto width in ifoedit ?

any ideas?

on another note, in my 1st attempt was i used the latest ifos on the 1st page, with dvdshrink v3.2.0.15 automatic setting for compression, and no deep analysis and no AEC.

i'm thinking for my 2nd attempt, to activate all these settings:
using the same ifos on the 1st page,
with dvdshrink v3.2.0.15 automatic setting for compression,
activate deep analysis
activate AEC set to sharp (default).

awesome work Jambe! very big kudos from Canada!

Very professional looking.

thank you for such tasty candy ! You are a Yoda among men.

ps: if u can get a msg to boon23 that uploaded your building empire to rapidshare, here's the page:
http://www.faneditforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=313&highlight=building+empire

its missing the dvd-rom extras, i see mention of them in the dvd's extras menu but nothing in the rar files. i have all 37 rars and extract out to 3.93gb

pps: for PAL to NTSC i did a 5 minute hack with ifoedit, didn't have to transcode from pal to ntsc. just edited the .ifo files to make it play as NTSC and it works fine on my LG LDA-530 with a memorex dvd+rw
