Those look MUCH better than the official 4ks.
Crazy how 1 person can make a better job than an entire team.
Kinda sad that there’s no Dolby Vision but if that’s what it takes to get a better 4K remaster, I’ll take it.
Hoping that the 70 mm print getas the full restoration treatment that it deserves, can you imagine it playing an an IMAX theatre. I was fortunate to see it in 70mm back in the day and I hold that memory dear to my heart. ESB is my favorite of the OT.
I hope they don’t retouch the image with dnr and change the colors and details like the official 4k remasters. I hate those so much
Interesting! I did found a copy of Avatar The Way of Water in 48 fps which I have no idea where it came from. It’s also in 4K with Dolby Vision
Trailers look rly interesting!
I hope it doesn’t suck…
Interesting!
This project looks very intresting!
Are you gonna make your own Dolby Atmos mix cause as far as ik, there’s only a 5.1 mix available.
So stupid that the 7.1 track is only available on HD-DVD
This look rly good! And you’re even keeping the Dolby Vision
I hate it when remasters have dnr. They need to leave the grain there. It’s like taking away a part of the movie
Princess Mononoke looked incredible in 4k - I’d be shocked if they didn’t do a physical release at some point.
I’d be surprised too. That’s a missed opportunity to make money
I’d say 4K77, 4K80 and 4K83 for now (unless Disney releases the og trilogy on 4K)

Ha! I hope you are right, altough i dont think so.The cinema screenings of the theatrical cut for the 50th anniversary are confirmed for Feb 19 2027. Home releases are a different matter, but are unlikely to not happen.
Imo, it would be weird if they do a full on remaster of the original trilogy just to show it for a couple of weeks in theaters. If they released it on physical, they would sell out instantly
Prequels are so much better than the sequels. Every time you rewatch episode 8 and 9, it gets worse bc of the more plot holes you find. 8 and 9 are so bad it ruins 7. At lest 1, 2 and 3 were all watchable
7 = good
8 and 9 = can we call those star wars movies?
This looks rly interesting!
James Cameron needs to stop using dnr and ai on his remasters.
This sounds awesome! I wished we would’ve still had all those cuts available in an official release along with the final cut
I hope we get an official 4K Bluray release of the original release! Ik there’s already the fan projects here but it would be so nice to own them. Looking from the screenshots, they look WAY better than the ugly 4Ks we have.
nice
