Hey guys! First, hello! I am brand new here and i am stoked about what you are doing. Great work. I come from germany so i hope you will forgive me my bad english.

Actually, i already have some questions. I have trouble playing the v2.1 avchd on my macbook. i burned the iso file to a dvd and i am able to play it on my bd player (although it does not run it in 24p but that's a player issue).

So i already downloaded vlc and other stuff. I just cant open the iso file. Is there a problem with mac computers? If anyone can help id really appreciate that!

thanksmuch

If I'm running an ISO off my mac, I usually double click to mount the ISO, then I open DVD Player and it should play automatically...

Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)
Time

Just wanted to say that I have a friend who has left Star Wars completely behind him after George made it clear he only cared about money, with his changes and prequels and nonsense. My friend has actually made it clear to us that he will not see 7, 8, and 9 on principle because, in his words: "George has rubbed his taint all over everything relating to that universe and I refuse to even glance at anything another man's taint has sweated on, especially George."

He and I are film buffs and in spite of me telling him that this exists, he initially didn't care. Monday is usually our board gaming day and when he came over I sat him down and told him I was going to show him something Star Wars related. He immediately threw a fit and threatened to leave. I promised him that it would be something he would enjoy. Very reluctantly he sat down and put a "I don't give a f***, but get this over with" face on.

I showed him the Sources Documentary because I wasn't sure showing him 2.1 would even be on the table at this point.

Once it started playing he slowly became very VERY interested and was actually in awe of the dedication and work that went into making 2.5. In fact, during the Team Negative 1 section, he said, "This is impossible, but I actually want to see the finished project. Whoever this Harmy guy is has impressed me so much that I am actually considering watching Star Wars again."

Once it was over, I asked him if he wanted to watch it. He said, only if I had the entire trilogy of Harmy's trilogy. I told him I only had 1.0 of Empire and Jedi, but I had 2.1 of Star Wars and was waiting for the 2.5 Edition. He told me that once all of them are in 2.0+ stage, he would watch them with me.

Harmy, I just thought you should know that your efforts and the efforts of all involved in this project has managed to re-ignite the love and passion for Star Wars in a friend of mine who only 6 hours ago, thought it would be lost forever. I thank you for the true essence of a gift, because that's what this is, a gift, and thoroughly congratulate you on your efforts.

I said to myself, I'm not gonna do a Star Wars set. Everyone else is doing it. And if I WAS gonna do a Star Wars set, I certainly wasn't doing a Drew set. Everyone is doing a Drew set...

*sigh*

[snip]

I really want these.

Although, I would really like to have an Episode III cover that doesn't have Vader on it, as I plan to use the prequel covers for Q2's fanedit, which doesn't have Vader's suit nor name mentioned in it.

First, did you get these? I would love to have them as well.

Second, has anyone made covers for 6 disc cases? The reason I'm asking for this is because in spite of my hatred for the changes and what not, I'm still a completionist at heart and wanted to make one large case for each film which contains all the major releases, and stuff. 2 Examples would be:

Episode I:

Disc 1: 1999 Theatrical Edition

Disc 2: 2001 DVD Edition

Disc 3: 2011 Blu-ray Edition

Disc 4: 2012 3D Edition

Star Wars:

Disc 1: 1977 Theatrical Edition

Disc 2: 1981 Theatrical Re-Release Edition

Disc 3: 1997 Special Edition

Disc 4: 2004 DVD Edition

Disc 5: 2011 Blu-ray Edition

Star Wars Trilogy LP Preservations (Released)
Time

I will do my best to figure out the newsgroup and grab the out of date editions.

@7eventiesFN - I'm glad to hear that you are making better versions of these. I wish I could be among the select elite who will be able to listen to them, but I'm someone who is too young to have been around for the release of the LP's although respects the quality there in. I also can't afford to get copies in order to be considered for something like this. I will respect your decision either way, but I am curious if there was another way I could be considered for your release.

Star Wars OT & 1997 Special Edition - Various Projects Info (Released)

I don't get on here much to post. I lurk quite a lot, but I just wanted to take the time to thank you for your efforts. I currently have your V3's and eagerly await the Blu's. I don't really have much input on the distro matter, but I can tell you that no matter your decision, I hope to be able to obtain a copy of it. Preserving Star Wars is something that should be respected rather than taken for granted. Thanks again for the work you have done here.

The Empire Strikes Back IMPERIAL "AUDIOPHILE" EDITION - Restored & Remastered Score - J. Williams & LSO (Released)
Time

I got a copy of this way back in November of 2012. I didn't get it off of here though, it was PM'd to me from another site entirely. You can try asking the people over on this thread since that is where I got my copy.

Help: looking for... is there a chance of a PT Preservation?
Time

I don’t know the first thing about how to preserve these films, but I’m curious. Considering the theatrical editions of the PT have been messed with on the home video releases as well, is there a chance someone has or is preserving that film history as well?

If I missed a thread on this, sorry, I read through 4 pages of threads though before I posted.
