Idea & Info: 'Psycho' 1960 - Open Matte on Netflix

Falcon did a 35mm scan of Psycho. I forget what the aspect ratio is. I haven’t watched it since I first got it.

I’d be interested to know what AR it is and if it’s complete. I just came across Rob’s Nostalgia Project, and I was hyped about it until I saw it’s actually missing a pretty significant plot point: the death of Arbogast. This is a bummer, because it’s in 1.33, which I really want (I have the SD version from the Legacy Collection and it’s really crummy).

I came across a open matte version of the shorter International cut in 1080p that has come out as a web dl version. The cropping is close to the old 4X3 dvd print aspect ratio but has the same pink cars and tennis ball problem.

Where can I get a hold of that?

It’s on Blutopia, if you can bet in there…and possibly Usenet.

I was able to get it. Just another question: Do you know if there’s a rip of the audio from the international blu-ray? This one has AC3, and I’d like to sync it with the lossless LPCM. If not, no biggie; this’ll do.

Thanks!

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - IMAX 16:9 Preservation (* unfinished project - lots of info *)

Was anyone able to download the HBO version with the IMAX scenes (the non-IMAX scenes were zoomed in, too, but that can be fixed with a simple editing program)? The only way I’m aware to get a proper recording without doing a screengrab is PlayOn, but I don’t want to subscribe for just one movie. (I know that seems unfair to put it on someone else, but if someone already had the program…) On the other hand, their site says they can only DL up to 720p, so I don’t even know if that’s worth it.

However, the subtitled foreign one we have might be the closest we ever get, as I have had direct contact with WB, and there are no plans to release an IMAX version. I even proposed on-demand disc purchasing for the scenes only, but that didn’t seem to gain any ground. (And, unfortunately, due to the negative reception to the film, I think it’s safe to say that we probably won’t be getting a special edition any time soon.)

Source from the online cinema.
IMAX Edition version of the movie, has a larger frame filling, compared to the bluray only in IMAX scenes, the rest of the movie is 2.35: 1 source Blu Ray enhanced version.
In the source code of two WEB DL 1080p extended and theatrical version. The expanded has non-disconnected Russian subtitles, and theatrical is not, the IMAX scene in the extended is longer, the short version was used as patches to hide non-switchable subtitles.

For material assistance in creating the release thanks otputi, seraccept71, SergBan, ns120bel, PALANTEN, THeSMiTH, bulava

I assume you’re talking about the opening scene, because that’s the only one I noticed with the subtitles. Has someone patched that scene together without the subs? I love to have it (or at least the theatrical one so that I can do it myself).

Thanks!
