STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION

I mostly specialize in 3D work, and I don't know if he's actually planning to go as far as creating entirely new effects shots.

I while back Adywan talked about new model shots for the final battle but I think he didn't like what he had so far so he scrapped the idea, that's why I was asking.

Wow, I like the addition on the new hangar, everything there looks awesome, I keep getting more excited for this release.

I agree with this post a lot.... also some fake CRT scanlines might help to lower the tech level as well

Well I think they are supposed to be StarWars low tech, not Earth low tech. Personally I liked the new targetting screens, and even though I see the point someone made about having chevrons instead of the shape of the ships, remember that later on the trench run the Tie-Fighters have the shape of X-wings on their targetting screens. BTW Adywan are you planning something for those screens?

To all the people complaining about how loud the music is. Adywan has stated that it is a **temporary** soundtrack!!!! Does it make any sense to complain or even comment about something that was just put there to fill a gap for now?

Well, first I don't think anyone is complaining at least I'm not, we are offering our opinions, which is I think the whole point of this thread, to offer criticism, in the end it really comes down to what the author of the edit thinks it's best for his version, and I think we can all respect his final decisions. Second, I'm not refering to loudness per se, read InvaderTim's post, he got what I was trying to say.

Don't get me wrong, I too think it could work, but right now it is... how do I say this? LOUD, it just stands out way too much, I would like it if it were just an instrumental version and a little more subtle, then you would realize it is the battle of the heroes, it would sound familiar, but it would not jump at you like yeah this is just music from episode 3. In the end it is your choice and whatever makes you happy Adywan you should do, I know I will enjoy your edit either way.

Adywan, everything looks great, the tie fighter battle it's superb but I have to agree with everything Mojo_LA said in the above post, even though I love the Battle of the Heroes theme, I don't think it works very well for this scene, maybe if you could get a toned down version, so when Ben disappears and the original music kicks in the effect is not reduced then it could work better. but as of right now, I would prefer the original score. Keep up the good work, this is the edit I've looked forward to the most.

The Empire Strikes Back - The Vintage Edit (Released)

PaulisDead2221, I have started to download and saw some of the color corrected footage already, it looks gorgeous can't wait to have it all. Now, I now this is a lot to ask but since you have already done the color correction on this. Would it be possible to get the 2004 edition color corrected with no changes made? I know a lot of people will disagree with me but aside from the color fuckups and Boba Fett's new voice, I like the 2004 edition, just wished the colors were not all messed up.

Again, Thanks a lot for your work so far.

Adywan, I have a question, you know the shot on Mos Eisley when Luke and Obi-Wan are stopped by the stormies?, on the SE and 2004 editions, there is a CGI Ronto walking right in front of the camera which hides our view of everything for a while, this always annoyed me, I don't see any point of having it there. Are you planning to do anything about it? remove by using GOUT footage perharps? It's not something important but I figured I'd just ask anyway, thanks for your work, looking forward to it.
