Deleted, altered, and alternate material project (Released)
Time

Just to let you know all links worked. Have unpacked successfully. Am a bit overwhelmed by the amount of stuff here to tell you the truth. Not sure the best order to view it yet. Have dipped into the star wars photos a little bit as this was my main interest and already I have seen loads of stills Ive never seen before.

I'm not surprised you drew a line under this project as it pretty unwieldy. I can imagine you had to do a lot of sorting to get it to this stage. thanks for your efforts and making it available to view and use for others.

Edit: Except for some song and dance clips from 2005!

What do you mean?  You can't unrar it without all the pieces I thought.  And I'm not sure what dance clips you mean.

Yes, you can unrar without all the pieces if you click "keep broken files". This is a good thing to do to check you're not going to have problems later on. Theres some video clips of a school/colllege production of some song and dance numbers. I can get the exact details later.

kk650's Star Wars Saga: Regraded and Semi-Specialized (Released)
Time

I should clarify that it only looks washed out in some scenes and other scenes look spot on. Its a balancing act because if you go too far the other way with saturation it can become a bit heavy. I really think the only way round this perfectly is to go scene to scene. It doesn't necessarily spoil the viewing experience to see a couple of under-saturated parts, I think the unique selling point of your version is actually the palette you've arrived at, which gets the film away from the pink/purple end of the spectrum in a clear way. Maybe leave time for this version to sink in for a couple of weeks before you revise it?

kk650's Star Wars Saga: Regraded and Semi-Specialized (Released)
Time

I might not get to watch this for a little while but I wanted to post my initial impression of this release from skipping through it. I think this is the correction to go for if (like me) you don't like the more lobster-like end of skintones. To me this is overall a more brownish palletted star wars and is quite reserved in its saturation levels on the whole, so that everything sits nicely together. Some (myself included) might have wanted to see a bit more 'pop' in places but I think that might have actually spoilt the overall feel/intention of this classic/retro look. I'm glad to see another unique release.

And of course preferable to the original Blu-Ray (imo)

I should also mention as well that for those interested in this release but wanting better audio, there is also a DTS-HD 5.1 audio track for this release that can be found in the kk650 release list on tehparadox.

I'm off to regrade a new 16gb Alien Theatrical Cut now. I always felt my previous release was a little unsatisfactory and I need a much deserved break from Star Wars.

Wait I havn't finished downloading it yet. You got to stick around for my critique so you feel shamed into starting from scratch and making a version 3!!!!

STAR WARS - Special Widescreen Edition (Technidisc) (Released)
Time

This clip of your redone technidisc looks good. More naturalistic with less popping colours than the original. These old formats always seem dark to me when they are on computer screens as compared to how bright they come out on televisions, so for me I would always go for boosting the brightness in a media player when playing back on computer something like this:

Although this extreme wouldn't be accurate

it can be downloaded here - link removed by moderator - in better quality if you want to slow it down in vlc player

Another scene I pushed into green to get the skin tones I was aiming for:
