With all my talk of incorrect aspect ratio... when I did the correction on the Technidisc I noticed that it almost perfectly match the 2004 DVD for the most part when I resize that transfer to 704x480, I also noticed that the GOUT-print is pretty badly warped, the distortion is worst in the left part of the frame, anyway what's interesting is that I also discovered that the lightsaber shot in Ben's hut in the GOUT transfer is vertically stretched or horizontally squished, it seems to me that they spliced in that part from a different source, probably because of the "split-saber syndrome" in the '93 transfer we talked about earlier in the thread.
Can someone please post this frame:
from the '95 "Faces" transfer, I'm just curious to know if the GOUT source actually match the "Faces" release rather than DC.

I know this is still using SD source material.
Just in case anyone is interested:

Thanks for posting the moth3r AnH DVD!
You can still almost see David Prowse's eyes at 48:40 in the light glare through his mask. I noticed this first in the HDTV SE version.
That's amazing at this 440i resolution.
Thanks for ROtJ, but man, that audio hiss & pop is annoying.
Why wasn't the original 1993 laserdisc audio track kept?
ok.
I came here to get the Moth3r discs, so if you could post them that would be great.
The Cowclops pack had some NTSC encoder errors (green shadows), so if Moth3r doesn't, it's worth the download to me.
It's hard to nitpick when you're using analog source video from 1993.
The fact that there's more than 1 release shows that someone thought that there was even more room for improvement in the process I guess.

1 problem with your ESB upload:
V.part075.rar is incomplete (only 96/116 available) ??
Thanks for any addon news post to fix this!
Looks like all parts made it to binsearch.info, so I probably wouldn't be posting any more.
Sounds like you'd need (116 - 96 =) 20 recovery blocks approximately.
Were I in your shoes I'd try to grab "V.vol031+032.par2"
You can tell by the second part of the filename that it contains 32 blocks. Should be more than enough...
Thanks! I actually just went with a different news provider and they had all the blocks available on that archive.

Great upload Mall, thanks!
Weird how the old LD players glitched out on their analog output for black sometimes, giving you glitchy puffs of green clouds that bounce around and then disappear.
Listening to the AC3 mix on those laserdisc SE rips was the first time I heard that well-imaged and "three dimensional" dialog on my home 5.1 system.
Maybe they created the effect with software sourcing only the original 2.0 mix?
Thanks man.
Would appreciate any post of your PAL dvds.
I checked out your older "Starwars-4.5.6.AC3.5.1.WS.LaserDisc.Xvid" pack, but there's a A/V sync problem with those old 2003 .avi's.
They play back about 5ms off base, and my A/V receiver can only fine-tune in 10ms steps.
Great AC3 soundtrack dump there, though.
Gotta respect the AC3 LaserDisc's and their soundtrack mixes.
Sorry... I'm new here, but I read the old thread about the Moth3r laserdisc rips.
When that discussion was still really going I think I still was stuck with 56k or 384k DSL.
Now with 25 Mbps fiber optic service and a newsgroup account, I'd like to catch up if someone could PM me the details : a.b.starwars or a.b.repost ?
Anyone know a friend with the Moth3r original trilogy and they’re willing to post all 3 on a.b.starwars ?
I’ve been looking and all the links I’ve encountered have long been dead.
I actually own the Faces Original Trilogy NTSC laserdiscs, but I’ve never come close to seeing the quality of the Moth3r image samples elsewhere on this forum !!
Thanks!
