Yes, this P2P is really killing the music industry:
Two University of London researchers found no direct link between use of songs downloaded off P2P networks and the sale of CDs, but found that heavy P2P users are more likely to go out and buy CDs (LINK).

*raises eyebrow*

There's got to be a catch. It's too good to be true. This would be like my high school teachers saying the best way to avoid an STD is to have more wanton sex. In other words: I'm certainly not complaining, but it just doesn't seem logical.

Hard to believe, but some economists think that having more sex will make you less likely to catch an STD (if I understand it, becuase most of the people you'd be having sex with wouldn't have an STD, and those who do have one would soon run out of willing partners):

Kashyyyk question - spoilers
Time
First - been lurking here an age, loving what I'm seeing, but finally have something worth contributing:

Back in late 2004, starwars.com featured a story about the Holiday Special and references to it having been cut from the DVD extras disc - it's not there now, but this confirms it was around - http://www.starwarsholidayspecial.com/news.htm

This story went round loads of news sources, and pretty much advertised the HS to people (like me) who had never heard of it. That led me here, and then to myspleen. So far from trying to destroy every copy, this actually created a demand. But also what it did was tell me a bit about Chewie's back story, including the giant trees etc.

So, when we all watched ROTS, there would have been plenty of us saying 'Ah, how clever, they've taken that bit of the EU and woven it into this - the Wookies realy do live on Kashyyyk, and in giant trees, just like in that terrible old TV show'. Which must have been the idea of mentioning the HS all along.

Except - did anyone else feel the Wookies were a token offering to the OT diehards? They are only shown so Yoda can react to order 66, and then say bye to Chewie, and we feel all warm becuase we like the link up to the OT. That scene could have been set on any planet, with any race, just like all the other order 66s. OK, I'm just as sentimental as the next man, so I can go with that, just to hear Yoda's line.

But. Guarding a Jedi, I would imagine, sticks in the brain - not every Wookie is called. So, I might imagine that when he next sees someone wielding a light sabre (Luke on the Falcon en route to Alderaan), while talking about the force, it might have crossed his mind to mention it? Something like 'Wow a light sabre, haven't seen one in a while. Hey Han, this force stuff's not so daft, I knew a little green fella once, and could he ever look after himself'. Or maybe 'Han, remember that little green man I told you about, ask them about him, maybe you'll beleive me then'.

No. Instead, he plays chess. Am I the only one to spot this hole? Or is Chewie as forgetful as Lucas?
