Star Wars: Classic Edition 2.0 NEW from Ocpmovie (Released)

strange resolutions there what made you go with those settings?

reason I always choose 640x272 as it is easier to upconvert to 1080p eg; 640 x 3 =1920, 272 x 3 =816.

obviously the vertical resolution is increased for 16:9 aspect etc. I also up the bitrate for the vertically higher aspects.

Also read somewhere that some MP4 standalone players only allow aspects divisable by a factor of 16 so I always try to stick to this rule when possible

still be interested in them if you ever reseed.

Forgive my ignorance just realised you were probably trying to keep the DVD's vertical resolution with your sizing.

STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION

Vader; "I told you she would never conciously reveal the whereabouts of the hidden base"

Tarkin; "Terminate her! Immediately"

Solo; "Not a bad bit of rescueing!"

Leia; "They're tracking us, no other explanation for the ease of our escape"

Solo; "Not this ship sister"

So after all that resistance to reveal the whereabouts of the base to the empire (including the destruction of her home planet), what does Leia do? Yep, knowingly leads the empire straight to the base she has been hiding.

Lucas' logic was pathetic even back in the 70's.

Adywan,

after the (IMO) 'silly' tie battle when they escape the death star are you leaving in the comment where Leia suspects the empire is tracking them? as this is a major plot hole as well.

as far as I'm concerned you can edit away to your hearts content as the SE is already a 'sows ear' so perhaps you could turn it into a 'silk purse'

I know, Adywan, that you’re months away from working on ESB but if you read the whole scene through now with my recommended changes I think you’ll agree this greatly improves the screwup that Lucas did to this part of ESB and you won’t have to do anything to ANH to explain the new dialogue. These are just my opinions of course but I hope you will consider these changes and also not adding anything to ANH before you make your decision. If you still want to add a scene to ANH, throw it in as a bonus or as Sluggo suggested as an epilogue after the credits have rolled by but please don’t add it into the film itself. I know my vote most likely won’t count but I personally don’t want to know Luke is Vader’s son until ESB. Improving special effects or adding technical scenes is one thing, changing the storyline is something else. The original trilogy in this regard is perfect as is, it doesn’t need tinkering. Just my two cents. Thank you, Adywan, as always you’re doing a great job. The trailer looks fantastic.

Dialogue well worked out there. I also disagree about the exposition idea at the end of ANH (bad idea).

I thought adywan's vision was a reworking of the whole saga so we would already know who luke is in ANH anyway.

I agree Lucas' changes are retarded and smack a little bit of arrogance like we would be too thick to figure out that Vader was trying to deceive the emporer so he thought he'd make it a bit more obvious.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Vader discover who luke was in the 'Splinter of the Mind's Eye' novel?

Very good one or two things look a bit iffy though...

The planet moves too much in both shots of the death star and the star destroyer zipping off into hyperspace doesn't look quite right.

Also the Luke/Leia scene in the chasm, the wide shot doesn't look as if it syncs with the close shot very well with regard to the position of the actors mid swing although that's probably the original footage at fault.

Still a lot of very good work there, congratulations on keeping your sanity.
