ANH SE 2007 Red/Purple Frames
Time
I don't know if it's just me, but those red/purple frames always feel like they are going to give me a seizure in the SE 2007 cut of ANH.

I was trying to think of a good way to fix it. I tried using the GOUT DVD (after adding a denoise and a slight blue filter) as a source. But the SE has such better quality. Then I tried using SE07' as a source and just making that red not so... intense.

I'm sure you guys have much better solutions. I just thought it would be a good thing to bring up. All this was done in Premiere with the Avisynth plug-in (which was only using a deinterlace script).

I made an mpg showing the results of one of the clips in normal and 50% speed. It's compressed to RAR and uploaded to megaupload. Here is the link.

NOTE: In the video in the last clip I meant to say red "frame" color reduced. Not lasers. The lasers are still red.

Info Wanted: 2 Ch Dolby Audio 2004 DVD ANH Question
Time

On the 2004 SE DVD edit of A New Hope, does the 2 channel Dolby audio have the same problems the 5.1 sound does? (For example the main theme being too quiet during the death star trench sequence.)

I’m sorry this should be under GENERAL PRESERVATION AND FAN EDITS REQUESTS, HOW-TO’S, AND TECHNICAL DISCUSSIONS shouldn’t it. How can I move it?

***The "Darth Editous" Episode IV DVD Info and Feedback Thread*** - a partially "de-specialed" DVD

this avisynth color correction stuff is GREAT. if you ever release a v4 of some sort, would it be on DL to preserve the quality?

also i was wondering what programs you use to paint/fix frames. is this possible in photoshop? i have cs3.

edit: i think i figured it out. open avi in photoshop and edit individual frames then export to avi. (some reason mpegs were not working for me but thats fine.) then integrate that into your premiere workstation.
