Dr.Olds, try to understand that the members of this forum are working very hard to do restoration and preservation work on Star Wars.  The purpose of this site isn't to crack and distribute films that are available.  Rather than coming here expecting people to give you things and then complaining when it's not easy, try understanding that most of the folks here are working on restoration efforts, not distribution efforts.  So be nice, and be patient.

i do understand that , 100% , but this members are not the only ones who work hard . i also spend more time translating and correcting or searching subtitles than watching movies , but when i have finished my work i'm happy to share it with everbody , i mean , this is one reason why i do all the work . i'm having the same passion for movies you guys have , believe me . but i do not know much about newsgroups and secret invite only forums , and my english is way from good , as you can see , so i'm not able to read+understand everything that could be necessary , i'm sorry for that .

thank you guys anyway for being patient with me :)

btw : a big big thank you for the maker of the subs , they match very very good :)

Well, it's true that it kind of sucks having to go through these obscure ways to download something as small and simple as subtitles.

i agree . i'm creating/translating subtitles myself , and when i have finished it i do upload it to a simple database (like opensubs) , where everybody can get them without any trouble or signing up anywhere . why go a more difficult way ? i have no idea ...

Well, none of this stuff is easy... So if I can help by getting you a Spleen invite, send me a PM.

-G

thanx , but i'm not so sure if i want to meet the scene there too , if you don't know everything about these kind of scene you're not perfectly welcome , how i learned . and harmy was very helpful to me too :)

You could actually learn about the Usenet or make the effort to contact walkingdork instead of whining and bitching about it.

you know , in forums i know how it works (there are several) i use to help people who don't . somebody asks where he can get something and i know it ? i show hin the direct way , i do not tell him to get a private investigator .

thank you very much for being so friendly to me .

Yes, they are available.  They are on MySpleen and alt.binaries.starwars for download under the name "Project Threepio".

great :)

but can can you explain me , how to load ? i don't know myspleen or any binaries ...

MySpleen is a website: www.myspleen.org. If you need an invitation to log in, contact walkingdork.  alt.binaries.starwars is a newsgroup, if you have newsgroup access.

i don't no anything about newsgroups , so i guess i do not have access . and i don't know walkingdork - is this a member from here ?

but why so cmplecated anyway ? why doesn't anybody upload the subs somewhere everybody is able to get them ? that would be so much easyer for everyone .

i did not read all 276 pages , so i'm asking here : does anybody know if there are subtitles for the episodes 5 and 6 too ?

Click the image link in my signature.

i read , tried to understand (german is my language) , much text abaut the style usw of the subs , but no indication to episode 5 + 6 , or a link , where i can download any subs .

why don't you just say : "yes , there are subtitles , u can get them ..." , or "no , there are no subtitles for these episodes" ? that would be really helpful . thank you :)
