Does that mean they are being worked on (regardless of any kind of timeline)? For some reason I assumed ROTJ v3 was some sort of one-off. But now I’m wondering why ROTJ was done first.

3.0 started like 3 years ago, harmys youtube shows him working on color grading and other ideas for it using a new hope footage. but idk if it’s ever been discussed what the actual plan or time table is.

Yeah, I am truly sorry, but my head was in so many places I could hardly keep things straight at times. Right now I am constantly travelling between 4-5 hours (depending on traffic, which only means getting there, there are still 4-5 hours getting back) between my present and future home, at least once a month.
I am still working full time at my present home town (which is also where my business is located) and also trying to fix up the house where my future business and home will be.

So, whenever I can upscale stuff, I will let the automation do most of it, but I have little time to check and/or upload.
But I will try to fit that in somewhere.

I just hope you guys can be patient with me, since I have all sorts of deadlines to keep which take precedence at the moment.

But don’t worry, I will get around to it 😉

thanks for even responding! hope all the moving stuff goes super well. I only just started watching star trek so I have plenty of time to wait lol. it’s an awesome project, plus so many of them around here take YEARS and that’s usually around one movie. a whole television series? yeah, take your time.

what’s the best place to get updates on this, his youtube? last vid is from months ago. curious on what the timeline for 3.0 is.

it’s a gorgeous looking print, once 4k80 and 4k77 v2 are out I hope someone tackles these preservations to prep a tv/oled friendly version. I know a lot of people love the projection/theater look but you clean these up and it could be a perfect 4k uhd theatrical cut of the star wars trilogy which…is pretty mindblowing to even think about. honestly for the most part this looked fantastic I just wish there was those inky blacks I’m used to on my lg cx.

No there isn’t, and we don’t know yet. ANHR:HD will release first, and after that It may take several more years. Adywan takes his time on these projects.

I remember first checking out this project a little after I graduated high school which was 2010/2011 lol. Kept up with the facebook for awhile. sucks the prequel trilogy got abandoned, that could’ve been an insane venture. Seeing things get added and erased like it was nothing I felt like he could legit make brand new movies out of those 3.
