Harmy's RETURN OF THE JEDI Despecialized Edition HD - V3.1
Time

hairy_hen said:

All edits for the 5.1 are now finished. I’ve done everything I can think of to make it great, and I’m really happy with the way it sounds. To me the improvement over the previous version is pretty substantial, though it’s mostly apparent in the small details of how everything blends together, but I like it much better.

All that’s left now to do is record the upmix (a real-time process) and add the LFE; then after one final listening check, encode to 5.1 and upload it. My brain is currently exhausted from listening to these things on endless repeat for the past few weeks, so I’m going to take a day off to recharge before I finalize it. But it won’t be long now, folks.

No problem - I don’t expect to have the video side done until the end of the week. 😃 Looking forward to hearing the new mix!

Great news! Does this mean we could even be seeing v2 out before Jan’s end? That would be magnifique!

Inside Covers & Inserts
Time

Hi all, just wanted to post this to whoever needs it. I gathered conceptual/matte painting artwork for use as inside covers for SW, ESB and RotJ. It goes remarkably well with the standard DE artwork. I also included inserts made from the fronts of phildesfr’s excellent covers, which I printed on semi gloss photo paper and put opposite the discs. It looks incredible, so I’ve wrapped this all up in a neat package for you to download for your viewing pleasure šŸ˜‰

Info: Need special effects for your edit? Request them here!
Time

Wow, thanks so much! It is btw and I’ll def give u a mention in the credits because I think I’m making an edit of the phantom edit so yeh.

EDIT: I wonder if this is too much to ask, but my screen recording software is a bit crappy so would it be possible to cut out the jittering of the crawl/smooth it out a little at least? That’s an added bonus really…

Hi, sorry if this is a bit difficult, but could you add this opening crawl: https://www.dropbox.com/s/olliqbe7tj6akbo/Title Crawl.mp4?dl=0 to the opening of the Phantom Edit found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9LEhOZZbuk&feature=iv&src_vid=LhJA7I_8-14&annotation_id=annotation_119748561 so it blends straight into the pan down? In effect all I need is the replacement of the text.

If you could do this I wouldn’t be able to thank you enough.

Inside Bluray Artwork?
Time

Hi,
does anybody know of anything i can use as ā€œinsertsā€ for bluray to go with the standard cover and label artwork found here: http://goo.gl/XiNmSW. By inserts i mean a piece of paper to go in the space opposite the disc.

I was sort of thinking maybe something on how the DE were created? Failing that any old info to go with the set…

Despecialized: RotJ v1.0 or v2?

The biggest issues with the workprint are that it’s missing some alien subtitles, and it contains a very obvious and fairly jarring special edition change. If you can’t get/make a modified workprint, go for v1 or wait for v2 proper. Image quality is a huge improvement in v2, but if the whole point of despecialized is to not have the special edition changes, the vanilla workprint really has an issue there.

Yep. But, to clarify, I wouldn’t burn either the 2-WP or 1.0 to put on my shelf right now. Just wait for 2.0, unless it is really your only way to watch and you don’t mind going through discs.

Fair play, I’ll do as you say.
Let’s all hope for a V2 complete trilogy very soon indeed!

Difficulty finishing in JDownloader2
Time

In the same boat on my W10 pc. It gets worse as this tutorial (http://www.dvd-guides.com/guides/blu-ray-copy/260-burn-blu-ray-avchd-using-imgburn) asks for a root folder. And I have no idea which folder to use, or what the hell to select. I’ve tried just opening the iso ONLY into ImgBurn but it came up with some weird ass shit that didnt match what the tutorial was telling me. Have you also got a ImgBurn file of the same filesize right next to the iso image. Which one do I use, this is also why putting in the folder in which those two files are contained in doesnt work as filesize limits go bezerk (ie 2x8gb).

I, by the way, am also planning to create physical blurays. Here are the covers at the correct size: https://www.dropbox.com/s/pu75atp3m8cuwca/Covers.docx?dl=0 (im going to my library to print them so theyre relatively hq), just get bluray boxes and discs of ebay they arent too expensive i got 3 discs and 3 standard boxes for less than £10 (so, erm $15?) and if you want labels they are here

ep5: https://www.dropbox.com/s/bawvadw8frl5r0l/DeEd Disc ART 2.png?dl=0
ep6: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8fugxs5nkncqrjd/DeEd Disc ART 3.png?dl=0, just get some adhesive cd/dvd labels and just print them at home! I ordered a bluray writer off amazon and im just planning to get a refund after I’m done with it #fraudlol

Hopefully we can help each other out considering we are doing the same thing, because how badly I want to end up with this at the end of it all: http://www.nomachetejuggling.com/assets/2011-10-21_22-52-35_694-e1319259575859-580x329.jpg

EDIT

Correction I found how to open the iso archive (if you have windows 10) select it, go to open with>windows explorer and that should do it. Then just copy all the contents to a folder and use that folder for ImgBurn.
