Someone else didn’t make a new version. They released the Grindhouse because the 4K77 version was out.
There is also another Grindhouse version of the LPP out also.
There is also a Grindhouse version of the 4K77 Star Wars project out now,
Unless it’s automated. It’s not very useful.
Also, there’s too many variations to really implement to make it practical.
Its a nice theoretical idea.
VLC is probably one of the worst players to use, it’s bloated, crashes, and uses up a ton of memory.
Stay as far away from it as possible.
Something like media player classic MPC-HC, or HPV player : https://mpv.io/
would work better.
Yes, looking forward to completing the trilogy.
Hope those audio glitches aren’t still a problem.
Poita will probably release his own version later on. I know that the same sources will be shared with others for their projects.
There is talk of another source for the mono audio from a 35mm print, but it will be awhile before it shows up from the discussions on it.
There’s some good information, and details concerning the Technicolor print here:

Also there are some comparison shots, which you can compare with the preservation.

I heard this was coming out very soon.
Audio glitches and all (No need for them to be fixed).

Oh well, April Fools
sigh
Good to hear the work is progressing on these. Can’t wait to see it.
Thank you puggo. Been waiting for awhile, but it will be worth it.
Audio glitches aren’t too hard to fix, so good to know.
The anticipation for watching this is good.
I know a lot of people will be happy once this is finally out.
There are collectors out there with prints, and also universities.
But none have them scanned yet.
Hope the progress over the weekend worked out Silverwook.
Looking forward to the release.
Happy holidays Puggo. Hope you’re doing ok. Looking forward to this release.
Good job on the scan, could use some basic cleanup. But it should be an easy job. Looking forward to this.
