 Wow , ive recently discovered this thread and what a project .Forgive my lack of knowlege on laserdiscs but can a Star Wars laserdisc provide better viewing than the standard  2006 dvd ?. Whats left to do on this project ?

     Thanks to everybody for wishing me good health , im still in hospital (at my own request ) and im still in good spirits as the world doesnt look as bad to me at the moment. I recently got to watch Mr Adywans edit of The Empire Strikes Back on a 40 inch t.v. screen for the first time and it was incredible , i was smiling like a child the whole way through the movie. Thanks to Adywan.  Lets all hope he finds the time to complete the remaining parts of the trilogy .

A letter to Adywan.

Mr Adywan my name is david waring and for the last 9 years i have been suffering from depression . At the moment im currently signed into a hospital for the benefit of my own health , from time to time staff at the hospital bring movies into the patients so we can watch them , each movie if not already known has to watched before it is shown to inpatients at the hospital. That usually means no horror movies or violent action movies, when asked what movies i would like to watch i always say Star Wars , the original version when i get my request the staff usually bring either the special editions or the 2006 release with the unrestored picture which doesnt help my state of mind .By saying this i meen that what George Lucas has done to the original Star Wars movies humanity does or inflicts upon each other , denial of exisistence or treat it like you hate it . Recently a warden on the hospital ward brung in The Empire Strikes Back dvd but it was a copy , he said that its a very special version he found on the internet and that it may just put a smile on my face . I watched the movie with Steve the warden and Mr  Adywan you have made a big difference to my mental state of mind that no prescription drug has done in years , i now see the movie the way i remember it back when it was released . The Empire Strikes Back is a regular movie for me to watch but it is the 2006 version that has a bad picture quality to it and because of this i only get to watch it on a 28 inch old style t.v..

                 I have watched your restored version of Empire 6 times now and like isaid before you have lifted my spirits like no drug has been able to do recently and i THANK YOU for that. My doctor noticed how my mood has been elevated the last 10 days and i told him why , i look forward to collecting enough points so i can watch The Empire Strikes Back on the 40 inch lcd screen . As i write this my doctor is sitting with at the side of me , it was his idea that i write to you and thank you personally as i may further my good mood . Dont get me wrong im not cured from depression , not yet but you have made me a happier person in the hospital because i can watch the original version of this movie . I dont have time to read through the rest of the posts in this thread and i dont even know if i can get back online to read more of this topic as you collect points in this hospital for , internet , t.v. or computer games ( all non violent of course). It seems like the only way a proper watchable version of each movie is only going to come from an experienced editor like yourself , so i hope you will finish Star Wars and Return Of The Jedi.

PLEASE restore Star Wars and Return Of The Jedi as you have done with Empire , i remember cuing up to watch Star Wars when it was released in the u.k. in 1978. I wish we could all watch those same movies as we used to. Thank you Mr Adywan for doing what you have done to The Empire Strikes Back , i bet you never thought you would ever get a letter like this when you were doing it .
