Well, so far the tabloids have been a great way to determine what is definitely not happening at all.

If she's in it, a daughter is far more likely. Or just an extra/alien of some sort like Lucas's daughter.

That would go along with what starwars7news.com is reporting.

IGN just posted that the film release may be delayed due to the injury.  To be honest I never liked the December release date, Star Wars films should always be out in May.

I'm pretty sure they actually changed that so all of the new Saga movies will be released in December.  I very much doubt that IGN's article has any truth to it in terms of the release being delayed.

A little rumor roundup:

John Boyega will play a character much like Luke in the OT. He will not be a Jedi, but will be introduced to the greater Star Wars universe. The main plot of the ST will revolve around his character much the same as Luke in the OT.

We have the persistent rumors of Jedi Hunters. The most likely scenario is that Luke Skywalker has at least started to rebuild the Jedi Order. The Jedi Hunters have started hunting down and killing those new Jedi.

Another persistent roumor is the Jedi Hunters are most likely Dark Jedi being led by a single individual bent on destroying the Jedi and building a new Sith Empire.

Most recently the Mandalorians will factor heavily into the ST.

Oh yeah and Tom Cruise will play an Ewok!

From Latino Review:

Since we won’t be getting any help from JJ Abrams and the official team until stuff like TMZ photo leaks forces them into it, I think it’s safe to say that I’m 75% sure I know how Star Wars: Episode VII ends. But I’d be a fool to tell anyone that or put it in a column, because that’s something you should get to choose about when it’s revealed to you. I have no doubt we’ll start talking about it sometime, but we have a long time until next December’s release.
So what can we talk about in terms of what we know about Star Wars: Episode VII?
Here are some fun bullet points that have solidified enough through different channels to be reportable:

  • There will be a female villain. Over 50% sure she's a Sith. I'll follow up on this in later weeks.
  • Despite having 30 Years after Jedi to set one up, there is NO New Republic at the start of Episode VII.
  • Boba-Fett-similar armor is around. Probably not for the man himself. Mandalorians? Clone drama? Still unclear on a plot/character connection.
  • John Boyega isn’t a Jedi or a Padawan at the beginning of the movie, he’s the one that has the story arc that brings him into Star Wars’ greater universe. It has echoes of Luke’s arc in A New Hope.

As always take this with the proper dosage of salt.

Who should the villain(s) of the sequel trilogy be? (if the sequel trilogy has villains)

Casting a black woman to play a pasty albino character? That's going to look very bizarre on film if true.

 You'd rather she play a green twi'lek

What's with the confrontational attitude? I'm just making an observation.

darklighter, why are you so obsessed with all the rumors being true?

Not interested in all the rumors being true. I apologize as I know I get way to hyped up on any little tidbit of info, rumor or not. I'd be happy with Lupita playing a cool Jedi or bounty hunter. I don't care about Plagueis and hope he's not the main villain as that would undercut what was so great about Palpatine. I just want awesome villains that will bring this saga to it's ultimate conclusion. If there's going to be a new big bad I don't want it to be some Mandalorian or some crazy Thrawn type. It'd better be a villain that is a severe threat to the entire Galaxy.

Harry Knowles

"My original source had told me back in January that Abu Dhabi was a location, and when that came to be, he sent me a scoop that the title for STAR WARS EPISODE VII was THE ANCIENT FEAR.

Tonight...  a source that I'm told to call Col. Mustard claimed completely on his own that "the working title" was THE ANCIENT FEAR....

He also stated that "it refers to Max Von Sydow's villain who makes Pazuzu look like a pussy!"

I would NOT want to see Palpatine reduced to a mere front figure; so much of the story depends on him genuinely being the Big Bad. But perhaps the Bigger Bad was out there, biding his time and maybe even using the Rebellion as his instrument to effect vengeance on Palpatine. (Maybe it was Plagueis who made sure the Rebels got the Death Star plans, for instance?)
