I can understand why Coppola wanted the new cut because it is miles better in terms of pacing. The original felt like a drag.
Would be interesting to see the missing scenes added back into the Encore cut.
Did you ever find a Cotton Club Encore Extended edition?
I have a copy of exactly what you are looking for.
It is quite a large file, I believe about 40 GB.
It is an ISO file meant to be burned to a BD-R 50 disc.
There is also artwork included for the case and disc
so it looks like an official release.
I could shrink it to an MKV file if you prefer.
Let me know if you are interested.Greg
Scenes from the original cut re-inserted into the Encore cut.
- Original opening credits with the dancing girls.
- Frenchy tells Owney the Dutchman has arrived at the club.
- The rooftop pideon coop scene.
- Dixie meets Gloria Swanson.
- The Sandman / Lila scene where she tells him she has a private life.
- Dixie in the car with his brother after Vincent is shot.
- Mr. Jewitt offering his help to Madame St. Clair and Bumpy.
- The longer scene of Dixie and Vera in the white curtains.
- Irving announcing the presence Chaplin, Brice and Cagney at the club.
Movie is now about 144 minutes
No I never did find a copy.
The Cotton Club Encore brought in lots of new footage not seen in the theatrical version. However, it also cuts about 13 minutes previously in the theatrical cut.
Has anyone added these cut scenes back into The Cotton Club Encore to create an extended version of the film?
Last of the Summer Wine region 2 DVDs have a few edits:
The original release of series 1 & 2 contained the VHS combined edit for the first 3 episodes of series 1. Some Enchanted Evening from series 2 also had a brief segment cut, where Nora Batty is getting ready. All episodes were released unedited on the re-release.
The series 3&4 DVD re-release edited a short bit out of The Kink In Foggy’s Niblick that was present on the original release, where Compo makes a comment about the passing group of golfing ladies.
Two episodes from series 8 are also cut; The Loxley Lozenge removing Crusher from the episodes and Catching Diby’s Donkey where a section is cut in the cafe with Crusher listening to a walkman. Both episodes were released unedited on the region 1 release.
The series 9&10 and 10&11 DVDs state they are also edited on the back but not sure what these edits are. Anyone know?
One Foot In the Grave series 5 DVD has music edits (stated on the back), but not entirely sure what they are either. Anyone know the music edits that were made?
Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em series 3 also cuts part of Moving House. This was released unedited on the Spanish DVD.

Bumping to see if anyone has these.
There are some bonus features that were available on certain exclusive releases that are now difficult to find. In particular, I am looking for “Joining the Fight” & “The Making of a Hollywood Blockbuster” from Mockingjay Pt 1 and “Jet to the Set” from Mockingjay Pt 2.
If anyone also has the exclusive audio commentary with Stephen Mirrione, Sheena Duggal, and Lon Bender from the Ultra HD of the first film would also be amazing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Anyone still have a copy of these?
I found a site which has a nice breakdown of the additional scenes/material in the director’s not present in the theatrical cut.
Shame Scott removed the Cocooned scene from the latest release.
Aside from the cocoon scene in the director’s cut, I understand there are many other little bits of the film in the director’s cut not present in the theatrical cut. What extra footage needs to be taken from the director’s cut to add it into an extended version of the theatrical cut? I don’t want to use extra footage from documentaries and such due to the lower quality.
If anyone has already attempted this, your help would be greatly appreciated.
The 2 disc family fun edition contained 18 deleted scenes with around 30 minutes of extra material. Wondering if anybody knows where each scene belongs to create an extended version of the movie or if an extended version already exists?
I did this while ago using all footage and the rare script, it only could be done with script.
Mrs. Doubtfire Extended Edition (MP4) making this the longest version anywhere, using all the deleted scenes and alternate shots. I was lucky enough to get the script and follow that and cut this movie from scratch. Now running 30 mins longer than the theatrical release and seeing how the movie should of been. Some minor trimming was done in a few spots in order to blend then new scenes best as possible and re-scoring in a few places.
I started to look into recently but couldn’t see where some of the deleted scenes go.
I will post my cut in a bit, I’m uploading to mega. I will ass well start posting most of my fanedits on this forum.
Look forward to it
