I don’t like sounding like i’m pushy i don’t like it not one bit. I just want a nugget even if it’s a small nugget a nugget…

As you requested…

😉

Hi Ady,

To save our good friend jedimasterobiwan the trouble of asking, can I please check whereabouts in ESB Revisited the fabulous new nugget will feature? I hope I’m not ruffling any feathers, but will it be in a new eggciting scene with Princess Layer? Or perhaps in the cock-pit of Hen Solo’s Millhennium Falcon? Or maybe in a scene where Lando keeps his capon?

At any rate, wherever you add it, I’ve long admired your pluck with this project and know you’ll do your very breast. And as an added bonus, being just a nugget hopefully you didn’t have to shell out more than a poultry sum and can quickly re-coop your outlay, as I know you have a very busy rooster of things planned for ROJR, which won’t come cheep.

I know you’re stuffing this edit with things you might not want to crow about, but how did you hatch the plan to add the nugget? Did someone give you a leg up, or did you just wing it? If one of your ideas proves to be fowl, do you just peck yourself up and start all over again? The best laid plans and all that…

Anyway, I’m really eggstatic about this edit as it looks clucking great!

Is there a “post of the month award” we can give this guy?

Word to the posse … I am asking you to leave me alone as well. We don’t need a rake Fo over the rails train in here, all it does is escalate issues unnecessarily.

Thank you.

Traitorous critic fallacy (ergo decedo) – a subtype of ad hominem where a critic’s perceived affiliation is seen as the underlying reason for the criticism and the critic is asked to stay away from the issue altogether.

Just because multiple people express similar reactions to your posts does not mean they are working in collusion. Perhaps you should consider how your own conduct may lead to the very situations you claim you wish to avoid.

What is your Star Wars?
Time

“My” Star Wars is maybe best expressed through images:

This was the iconography of Star Wars as I knew it, growing up in the 70s and 80s. My understanding and memory of the films came as much from read-along books, promotional images, toy packaging, and commercials as it did from the movies themselves. When I think back to some of my earliest thoughts and memories of the franchise, these images are what come to mind before almost anything else.

HDR seems more like a gimmic because most of the time (at least from the demos I’ve seen in stores) it just looks like someone boosted the everloving shit out of the contrast and it’s always looked a little eugh.

HDR is actually pretty cool. It enables TVs to display a wider brightness range than was previously possible. Unlike just boosting contrast (which would simply make dark and light areas more extreme, with the results of whites being clipped and blacks being crushed), HDR actually displays more of everything. Here’s an example from a video game:

The "Name that Movie/TV Show I Can't Name" Thread
Time

I just stumbled across this thread, and thought I’d post this to see if this rings a bell for anyone:

I remember seeing the end a movie sometime around the late 70s or early 80s (possibly made-for-TV) in which people were shooting at what I remember to be some kind of grey tar/sludge monster. I seem to remember this shootout happening on a ship, with the creature possibly at the top of a mast, but I can’t recall this part with certainty. I believe the monster is then shot/killed, and it seems like a happy ending is about to unfold, but I remember the last shot pans or zooms in on some sort of vat/drum full of the same grey, bubbling liquid that the monster was made of, which I guess was meant to insinuate the creature could return.

Sound familiar to anyone?
