The best color reference is the THX Deluxe CAV Laserdisc, which uses a film based master as opposed to the DVD digital master also used by the Blu-ray.

I’d rather watch an original source that has been worked on than a reconstruction not in the same aspect ratio.
There still isn’t a “best way” to watch FSWTJ and I hope somebody can create one someday.
