Adamwankenobi, I agree that he has a right to update the effects, etc., but I agree with Mr Bungle...when you start changing the very STORY of the movies, you should at least attempt to make the originals available. Instead, he tries to deny the very existence of the OT by saying that there is only one definitive version. Considering his initial views on film preservation and restoration, I say shame on him.

Then this website wouldn't exist, and we'd all be biting our tongues pretending to be satisfied with George's SE and SSE.

It's not that we don't say nice things, we say nicer things about the original works. We use constructive criticism to shape our decisions, not base emotions.

RickWJ324, I have to agree with you completely.

I grew up with the original Star Wars trilogy, and though my views may have been jaded by my youth, I still feel a magical, more mature version of that same feeling when I watch the OT now. The prequels lack that emotion, the drive that gave much of my younger years purpose. Though it may seem sad or almost pathetic, Star Wars helped shape my life. When I see the OT, I still feel that. When I see the prequels, I merely feel...

...empty.

dark_jedi, I loved your transfer of RotJ (the only one I've been able to get). Don't listen to any naysayers...they're just jealous they don't have editing abilities such as yours.

Keep up the good work.

BTW...I'm not all up on the differences in transfers and audio mixes and whatnot, and most of my friends aren't either. Maybe if you have time you could put a short explanation about yours on the DVD or the insert somewhere so they don't have to dig around on this site for information.

Just a small suggestion...I know I had a lot of confusion when I saw my first fan preservation project (I still do sometimes, even with originaltrilogy.com).

The "ADigitalMan Special Editions" DVD Info and Feedback Thread (Released)

Sorry to hear about the discs you received...it may just be a problem from the particular person you got it from. If you still have his/her contact information, get ahold of him and tell him right away! If his burner is dying, he'd probably like to know as soon as possible.

I'd also like to jump on the bandwagon and ask if anyone is still paying it forward with this release. I know I'm new here (I've been a lurker, but have hesitated to post), but hopefully someone is willing to take a little faith on a newbie.

Many thanks!
