2. Limbaugh was not using 'racist trash talk'.

1. Recent enough to still be news. Last season isn't that long ago when talking about sports that take so much time off.

2. He most certainly was. His whole point was based on the color of his skin. The worst part is guy didn't know what he was talking about. McNabb has been a major reason the team did well in the last few years. The defense can shut the other team down, but the offense still needs to score. The Eagles haven't had a decent running game or receiver group since he got there, yet they keep winning. Rush the shock jock has also made racist comments on his radio show before.

Bite me.

Cardaway, looks like your Seahawks are definitely for real.

Things look good. If they beat the Bucs (I'll be happy with just a win) then the hype was real.

so, here's a list of scenes that I can think of off the top of my head

SE good

1. SE trilogy Yavin base. the temple looks much better, as it is in the background and is not moving.... keep that part of the SE

SE bad

2. GREEDO SHOOTING FIRST. everyone hates this, but I had to mention it

3. cut the jabba the hut scene that was restored in the first movie

4. no more of the scream when luke falls down

5. restore the original combat movement for the spaceships

6. cut out all moving cgi

7. restore original ending

8. restore original ice monster part.

and on another note

since, dual layer dvd burners are out... and the SE dvds are out... has anyone thought of making this SE edition?

I like 5,6,7,8 and would like those left in my definitive editions.

What about the commentaries?

- That is a certain sacrifice in order to have a better audio and video quality, since we haven´t started to see dual layer transfers yet. Until that happens I´m fine with omitting the commentaries (which I haven´t heard great things about) in order to have a better a/v experience for my OT.

ITA Rebelscum- give me the better audio.

How have people purchased this set? Does it come with artwork and cases?

It has the movies on three discs (in 2.35:1 widescreen letterbox format and the original uncompressed PCM sound from the laserdisc), a fourth supplemental extras disc which contains the bonus features from the "Definitive Edition" laserdisc and last but not least there are three extra discs focusing on each of the movies. There you have the original good old documentaries, "The Making Of Star Wars", "SP-FX: The Making Of Empire Strikes Back", "Classic Creatures: The Making Of Return Of The Jedi" and "From Star Wars To Jedi: The Making Of A Saga" as well as tons of other exiting stuff inc. deleted scenes, auditions, interviews, trailers and more.

I´ve got one ordered (hopefully arriving any day now) and I can´t wait. It looks the businezz...

That sounds great. No sync or missing scene issues?

Newb here - hope I'm posting this in the right place.

I am interested in a copy of the original trilogy on DVD and as many extras I can get. I was referred here by somebody at another site.

I've browsed this thread and others and I'm confused about the different versions. I want to make sure I get copies that do not have sync issues or missng scenes. They don't need to be anamorphic or 5.1. Just the best widescreen picture and the best 2.0 sound.

I've seen different sets on ebay but never know which one is really what it claims to be and none of them have all the extras. Not sure why, but nobody seems to have collected all the extras into one set. A newer one I have seen is advertised as a cover art auction with free discs. The four hour documentary extras disc is very tempting but alas I don't know how the dics fare. I also don't like the cover art. I am interested in getting cases and artwork with the discs.

Anyway, thanks for the help in adavance.
