I’m personally of the opinion that the Force Ghosts are better left silent, but calling out “Rey!” during the throne room scene would be good. Good idea to get some Rey Nobody stuff as well; maybe ask in that thread for a wishlist, if it’s not too late at this point?
I like that the prequels gave Yoda of all people a character arc. He goes from an army general yelling “Around the survivors a perimeter create!” to “Wars not make one great!” in the OT after realising he and the Jedi failed.
Has anyone tried changing Yoda’s saber to gold? That way, so in TRoS it’d imply Rey would become a Jedi grandmaster and start a new Jedi Order?
If you used an edit that removed Yoda’s duels (eg Hal’s edits, which only leave one moment of Yoda using his lightsaber during Order 66), this could actually be a doable and cool idea. Something about prequels-era Yoda having a gold lightsaber feels right, though I can’t explain it.
I’m just curious: has anyone watched the end credits?

I looked through the Battlefront lines and nothing useful for this specific moment stuck out at me. A second set of ears on it wouldn’t hurt in case I missed something, though.
I think I found a 5.1 source for the LEGO special. I’ll try experimenting with it - we do only need a couple of syllables, after all.
Awesome!
@Dominic, I suppose these things are pretty subjective - I’ve been on the other side of this with a lot of the AI voice things.
Take multiple different fanedits of TLJ and recut them back into the theatrical version.
I honestly think it works fine despite being a soundalike - I didn’t realise it wasn’t Daisy Ridley until I saw the end credits.
Still, I’ll put together a rough cut (when I get the chance) even though I don’t have the voice isolated from the background music, just as a test. I’ll need someone to send me the current version of the Rey Vs Palpatine scene, though.
The one I edited together with ROTS, TCW season 7, CW microseries, and TBB clocks in at about five and a half hours, so adding two more movies and even a stripped down season of a show would really bulk it out. I’m unlikely to put such an edit together simply because of the work involved, but I think those kinds of gigantic epic edits are always fun to see.
No I mean like the phantom menace, the clone wars, the rots, the clone wars 2008, the clone wars final season and the bad batch into one movie if someone made this send me a link please thank you!
If you just used the final season of TCW, that would still be probably a ten hour movie. I mean, I think that would be awesome, but I don’t think it currently exists.
I’ve got a strong lead on some “I am a Jedi” audio; I’ve already messaged Sherlock about it, but I’ll need help to get a 5.1 surround sound version of the Lego Star Wars Holiday Special of all things, so I can isolate the centre channel to remove background music.
When we first see Anakin in Watto’s shop and he talks with Padme, add a cigarette in his mouth and/or hand.
Dub over “Yippee!” with a hacking cough.

Yep, I did one here. I’ve sent you a PM!
Used to?
I used to work as an editor and a sound recordist - I changed careers years ago, though.
Luke was like “That was a great adventure and I’m glad I could help, but it sure is good to be back home.”
“And you were there… and you… and you!”
I’d like a link to this, please. All the ideas are really interesting but using the TFA duel as flackbacks in the Force Skypes is such a clever idea.
Why not Binary Sunset?
Go ahead and make every other movie end with Binary Sunset while we’re at it.
End every movie produced by Lucasfilm with Binary Sunset, such as Indiana Jones, American Graffiti, the documentary about Yukio Mishmash, and Labyrinth.
Can we get a moderator in this thread?
Also, as someone who used to work in the film industry, putting a movie behind a paywall and streaming it to people who pay is selling access to a movie, and illegal if it’s someone else’s IP. That practice should absolutely not be promoted by anybody on this forum.
I had a search around a while ago for an edit I made, and the best I found was the version you’ve already got - I worked around it, and found that the sound effects are basically masked by music when you don’t have the visuals to draw your attention to them.
Also, on-topic, I don’t personally find those deepfakes particularly convincing. But then I feel like I’ve been spoiled by seeing Shamook’s excellent work on deepfakes.
I also have idealogical differences with them, but this forum isn’t the place to get into it. I think the general rule of thumb here is that they can do their thing over there, and we’ll be here doing our thing.
To please both people who don’t like Yub Nub and people who don’t like Victory Celebration, remove both from the soundtrack and have the ending of ROTJ play out with diagetic sound only.
