Gilroy manages to expand the GFFA with new aspects and stories and make them interesting with great writing and the actors deliver with their performances. Tired, easy tropes are left in the background, we barely see x-wings, TIEs show up for a few moments and stormtroopers are in the background until the season finale. Gilroy not being a big SW fan really helped the show, as he probably had sort of a outsider eye for the whole thing. And they still have some hardcore fans in the production to make the world’s details match with what has come before. The fan service is organic and not in your face.

I never thought we’d see lines of dialogue delivered in such a great manner again in Star Wars. The four main monologues now up on the official Star Wars channel are a joy to watch and listen to. I also loved the “That’s just love” scene between Cassian and Maarva, I must have been cutting onions watching that. The same with Cassian receiving the news at the end of Episode 11. Diego Luna is such an amazing and nuanced actor in this.

And the Mon Mothma character throughout the series has been wonderful to watch, Genevieve O’Reilly was simply fascinating to watch on screen.

my edit is simple i just focus on andor and his story not the empire and its political back biting at the ISB or the Mothma story line these aspects of the show just bored the life out of me its just one mans struggle to get on in the galaxy after accidentally killing a security guard while looking for his long lost sister

had to do it i love the films but they had there faults the first you could see some of the stunt mechanics when port royal was invaded by the crew of the black pearl and the member of the film crew in one of the last shots of the movie all gone now the rest just little bits here n there but the last one i had to restructure a lot of the film as it was lacking a lot some of the writing was pretty bad at least my edit is watchable

being a star wars or sci-fi fan in the 80s was good and bad good because we got to see these cult classic movies first hand but bad because it took so long to make a follow up if they ever got one and the star wars trilogy died a slow death jedi was lets be honest crap the skywalker saga could and should have went on with luke and his journey but alas
as for being tech savy our tech was limited to budget home vhs or beta max was as tech savy as some people got then personal stereo’s mix tapes c.d’s trying to copy video tapes we all did it then the home entertainment system boom nintendo sega atari
i much prefer now we can do all the stuff we wanted to do in the 80s with a computer music movies games create copy produce

someone out there must be doing a new edit with all the dated CGI replaced with more up to date CGI PLEASE…

Theres 9 main movies i cant remember every little edit i made sorry the phantom menace has had the most done to it i cut out as much of young anakins dialogue as possible made the run through the desert make sense edited anakins flying into the control ship and not blowing it up by accident , jar jar has also less to say with as little as possible without it affecting the story ,attack of the clones no romance no bad c3-po one liners tried to keep the pace going , revenge of the sith i have tried to keep it flowing with the action and as little poor dialogue as possible again i added in qui gon contacting yoda briefly as he meditated for the prequals i used only the source materials maybe a few added sound effects when needed . the original trilogy for the first two i used adywans edits but incorporated some scenes from the sc38 edit and disney star wars biomes for some added Tatooine speeder shots and hoth shots for the search for luke and han for jedi i tried my best to pick up the pace as i thought it was always the slowest of the three cut out the obvious edit mistakes double takes of same shot storm troopers in shot when they shouldnt be and no more vader doing his campest “NO” in the parsec and all the out of place comments about leia knowing her mother and no more brother sister kissing .
the follow up trilogy i saw other fan edits of all three and did my own interpretation of them heir to the force had stuff i could use , the fallen knight also took me in the direction of no Marry Poppins in space i cut that scene out asap and the rise of skywalker the bigest edits i made were adding the fan edits of rey facing palpatine with the force ghosts of yoda ben anakin and luke behind her then the ending with the force ghosts of ben leia and luke on Tatooine with her thats as brief as i can be i tried my best with the last 3 i tried to up the pace loose the stupid jokes and script that just plain sucked
