The problem with yourtheory is Jimbo that you cant always change the past. Hindsight is 20/20 and no one can predict the future. And we now can see why so many directors make new directors cut but leave the original cut there also because they know that no one can go back in peoples minds and completely erase any memory of an old movie and implant, nay, program a new altered version into our minds. But good ole Georgy boy says no, no way in hell these movies dont exist, what images you have in your subconcious is nothing more than demented images of something that never existed. Thats wierd. Sounds like Bradbury huh? And every DVD retailer in this country is Montag. Burning memories of a movie that now never existed. Selling CGI Lucas porn to everyone who doesnt care one bit what they get just as long as they get it. Sheep standing in line to recieve any dvd with Star wars trilogy on it. NO matter what version they are the sheep will stand in line and recieve it. So Jimbo youre just a woolen sheep, bahhing and moaning and standing in a uniform line just like the others never deviating, just listening to whatever is said and believing it 100%. Sounds kind of like the bs that happens everyday. Sheeps being lead to the slaughter. Never knowing anything but what they are told. Never thinking for themselves. Sound familiar, just look in the mirror and you'll see what Ive been talking about. You win Jimbo, and you also lose. Merry f_ckin christmas.

By the way your the kid at school who gloats when he gets an A on a test everyone flunked, and guess what you ruined the curve now your ass is gunna get beat once school is over. The movies are the original. The SE star wars are NOT the original. Like I said apples to oranges. If the changes are so small and do not change the flow of the movie, then yes they are the originals. But if the movie ceases to be what it was in original form, then thats the problem. Theres a threshold that Lucas didnt tiptoe over, he hit it with a lawnmower.

Indy did minor changes and it only fixed things. No cartoony Epsiode I scenes were added into Indy. Your comparing apples and oranges and only trying to stir people up. Go get the SE when it comes out and shut up about it all because your points are moot.

So no changes can be made to a DVD quickly. Then how did Spielberg change his version of ET overnight. Before the release we were all thinking bare bones theatrical, then come day of the release it seemed as if at the last minute he threw in Dolby 5.1 and a much loved DTS track. Changes can be made ridiculously fast. Dont be fooled by the mumbojumbo.

Who will buy the SE dvds and who will stick with what they petitioned for and not buy?

Lets see who has the guts, and who will cave.

Me, I'll wait for what I petitioned for, the films I grew up watching, I wore out tapes of the

original three films, but I haven't sat down and watched the SE's in years. That means

something. Hopefully most people here will resist, but I know most of you want it anyway

you can get it, I respect that, but I also respect what everyone petitioned for, and I think

everyone else should too, keep that in mind on the 21st of September.

Come on Jimbo, no pessimism allowed from now on, you may be happy with CGI crap, but Ill be damned if anyone will tell me the people who signed this petition mean nothing. Thats asonine to think that over 50,000 fans mean nothing. So Jimbo you have fun in September, waste your money on that faux star wars you call the special editions, I and many others will continue to wait for what we believe is one of the greatest, unaltered, films of all time to come out in an advanced format we all can enjoy, yes even you Jimbo deserve to watch the OT on dvd, even if you laughed with Jar Jar.

Couldnt have said it better myself. Just took a peek at the new tally, gettin close to 50k in signatures, very hard to turn down 50k on a petition. Lets hope the first three discs are SE, and the next three are OT!!!!

Just wanted to chime in and tell everyone to go to thedigitalbits.com today dont delay, they have some interesting info on a 6, yes thats right, 6 disc star wars original trilogy giftset to street on 10/19, like me you will prolly be thinking yeah right wishful thinking, but listen to what the bits have to say.
