<strong>Ahsoka</strong> (live action series) - general discussion thread
Time

I’m enjoying the show so far and personally enjoying the connection to Rebels, but I keep finding myself asking the question of where do these people go between now and the sequel trilogy?

I think it was mentioned earlier by someone else, but where’s Ashoka and Ezra in those movies. The takeaway from those was that Luke is the only one left and there is no other Jedi’s left and he’s the only hope.

Where as the Ashoka show implies that there is at least 3 other Jedi if you count Sabine. What becomes of them not to show up in the sequel trilogies.

Connecting all of this is what I’m most intrigued by and maybe we come to learn that through either this, The Mandolorian or the BoBF.

The Kenobi <s>Movie</s> Show (Spoilers)
Time

I’m coming to the conclusion that the pacing of the show is the real issue that I have.

I always had in my own mind that this series was going to help bridge the 18-19 year gap between ROTS and ANH and play out across that time period - see Obi-Wan through the years of how he became settled where he is, what those early years were like after the Jedi Order had collapsed etc and then how he came to watch over Luke (not Leia). 4 episodes in and it appears that we’re going to be about a week in the life of ol’ Ben instead and by the end of the show we’ll wonder what happened for the next 10 years until he shows up again.

I enjoyed Episode 4, but considering its a 6 episode show, it did not seem to move any of the storyline forward and didn’t give me anymore insights into how we got to ANH than I had the episode before.

Although it a show about Obi-Wan, i don’t think it needs to be all about him. They could have still shown the story of Leia growing up in the background and taking on the role she plays as an adult - Obi-Wan didn’t need to be involved and generally how the Empire came to be during that time and they’re development as an ‘organisation’.

Time

I believe i actually had a model like that when i was young (probably still at home one where). It was the hoth base and had loads of X-wings etc (about 2 inchs size wise), a transporter and the Falcon. It was given to me by my cousin who had already made all the models and painted it.

Hey Ady - i mentioned this before, but did you ever look into the magazine series that is out that includes a small but detaled model with each edition 'The Official Starships & Vehicles collection'. These model are probably not ideal for some shots (close-ups), but will be good to use for others and allows you a cheap and cheerful way to get various models used in the movies

Ady - i was supposed to message about this a couple of days ago but got quite busy. I'm not sure if this will help in any way when it comes to your models etc, but i just saw in the shops here in Australia a new set of fortnightly (i think) Star Wars magazines called 'The Official Sharships and Vehicles collection'. With each magazine you get a different 'ready made' miniture model with it that i supposed could be used when refilming some of your scenes. Looks like you've got it in the UK as well - http://starwarsvehicles.deagostini.co.uk/ Cheers Ben

GOUT
Time

Hi guys - not sure if this is the right place to post or not - sorry if it isn't.

Might be a stupid questions but i keep seeing GOUT come up in certain discussions and far as i can make out it seems to be a version of the films that was released.

Can somebody shed some light on what this GOUT thing is all about?

Cheers

Ben

Newbie - a little help!
Time

Hi guys - seems i might have stumbled into somewhat of a wonderland!! I've been a huge fan of movies for years and for quite a while a now have been looking to get hold of fan projects such as the Chronologic Godfather and Star Wars Fan edits etc. It seems i might have eventually come to the right place!!

I've been a trading of fan produced music DVD's for about 15 years now, so well versed in the whole trading game, but never been involved with the movie side of things (basically because i didn't know how to get my hands on fan projects).

Not sure if i'm posting in the right section here, but i'm looking for some help of how i go about trading with people to get hold of some of the fan edit movies that float around. Do people do B&P's?

Any help would be appreciated

Ben
