Absolutely. I agree with you.

It is frustrating that the majority of people in the UK (I can't speak for the US) seem to think that governments should fix things overnight and that, if that doesn't happen, that the government is dysfunctional.

As I'm sure you remember (if you remember me at all! I've been away a while), I don't think global warming, or, to put it the correct way, the involvement of human activity in accelerating and/or augmenting global warming is a hoax. I found the article interesting and agree with the writer because politics is playing a much bigger role, in such measures as increasing the use of biofuels, than sound strategies based on evidence, scientific or otherwise.

There's a problem developing now with consumers here in the UK purchasing produce that appears to have travelled the least distance. This, however, is putting producers in poorer countries at a disadvantage. Also, it does not have any real impact on "carbon footprint", or however you care to describe it, because producers in the UK tend to have to use far more energy to grow out of season crops than that used to grow and transport the produce from, say, an African country.

Ignorance and political manoeuvring are taking the place of coordinated planning based on the best evidence available. No matter whether you think human involvement in global warming is proven or not, this is worrying.

Yeah, Revolver is a great album. I would go with most people in saying it was their most important record. I just prefer to listen to Abbey Road, though. I love the structure of it.

Currently at work listening to:

I Heard It Through The Grapevine: 20 Soul Classics - Marvin Gaye
Song Of Innocence - David Axelrod
Songs Of Experience - David Axelrod
The Best Of - James
f#a#8 - Godspeed You Black Emperor!

I can't believe that anyone with, like, a computer could be so, y'know, disrespectful to Jesus as to depict him to others as some kind of dinosaur, as if he was some kind of, like, freak, 'cos, y'know, he's, like, our saviour n'shit and none of us would even have computers if it hadn't've been for him and faith in Christ is so weak and feeble in people that even the slightest disrespect will end all faith in the Lord Jesus and God and everything, man, can't you see that??!!!!

Sheesh...

Now that's something we can certainly agree on!

I have come to different conclusions to you about the world and my place in it. That doesn't make me mentally disabled or retarded or crazy or disgusting.

The world isn't black and white. There aren't just single correct answers to these questions, leaving the world divided into the right and the stupid.
