my memory isn't that bad, is it? (in SW '77 - Luke misses with the grappling hook?)
Time
I also saw the missed throw. This would have been 1977 at the River Hills theater in Des Moines, IA.

Does anybody remember the tv show That's Hollywood? It was a documentary series about movies narrated by Tom Bosley. They used to show tons of clips from Star Wars. I'm thinking the missed throw was shown in a clip on this show.

Why all the negative coments about george lucas?
Time
For many of us, the theatrical experience of the OT was a life changing event. I was 8 yrs old in 1977 when I first saw Star Wars. Without that early influence, my life would probably have been very different. Hell, our entire culture was changed by the experience. I was all in favor of the SEs when they came out especially since it gave me a chance to see the OT on the big screen again. However, after viewing them several times and going back to the OT, they just don't hold up. Many of the additions and changes completely changed the tone of the films. This is especially true in ANH. Many, including myself, fealt these changes were for the worse. GL denying the release of the original cuts was like a slap in the face to us. There was no sound reason other than his own hubris.

STAR WARS: The Torrents thread

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions. Unfortunately, disc space is tight right now so I had to delete OCP ESB from my hard drive. I still have the dvd copy. Can I just copy it back to my hard drive and replace/delete the files? Also, if I can put it back on my hard drive I will seed them for My Spleen once I clear my drives up a bit.

Also, I'm downloading Editdroid's ESB right now. Only getting like 16kbs, but it's better than the 2 or 3kbs I was getting for Cowclops.

STAR WARS: The Torrents thread

Hi guys! I'm totally new to the boards and torrenting and pretty much everything else here. First off, I would like to commend everyone on there hard work and willingness to share it with the fans. You guys rock!

I'm currently downloading my first torrent of editdroids version of Star Wars. I have a pretty decent cable connection but I'm only downloading at between 35Kbs and 45kbs. At this rate, it will take over 27 hours to download the file. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks,
