The new blu-ray is supposed to be fantastic. If you are looking for just the movie and not the extras, what is so special about the 2002 version?
My wife loved this as a kid. She recently found her VHS copy of it taped from TV. It is in pretty bad shape.
I looked online and there was a retail VHS available, but they now go for $120+
Has anyone seen a digital copy online?

Forgive me if this is in the wrong section.
Is there a retail version of the Theatrical cut of The Watchmen available in R1? I know a digital copy came with the blu-ray and the DVD was the theatrical version. I was looking for a HD Theatrical cut.

I've seen it a million times on VHS and TV in the 1990's. LOVE IT then. I haven't seen it since. I've ordered an AU version. Hopefully it is 16x9 as the specs say and it is a dual layer disc. I'd hate for it to be crammed on a single layer.

Anyone know if a widescreen preservation of Toy Soldiers has been done. The only DVD is full screen. Apparently some laserdiscs were widescreen.

It would have to be changed to animorphic widescreen, but anything would be better than fullscreen. I’m surprised a DVD was never made since Sean Astin is so popular after LOTR.
