Remove “Jedi Rocks” and the additions of the Special Edition in that scene
Remove the slapstick Ewok moments during the battle
Add more rebel troop action to Endor ground battle
Larger ground and space battle
Remove Chewie’s Tarzan yell

It’s a continuity mess the way the battle has been edited. We have Lando leading Gold group ( but no fighters in Gold group), Red group is the X-wings, Green groups is the A-wings and Grey group is the Y-wings. Blue groups was also in there originally, which were the B-wings. But who the hell is Lando the leader of? In ROTJ:R, the Y-wings return to being Gold group and the B-wings are back as Blue group. Grey group is gone.

Gold squadron was reformed with a mix of different starfighters and the Millennium Falcon.
On screen members are Gold Leader, Lando Calrissian, Gold Four(A-Wing), Jake Farrell, and Gold Nine(Y-Wing), Norra Wexley, flying through the Death Star reactor shaft.

STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION

ray_afraid- Right. That’s why he included prequel droids in the trash compactor. Pretty sure his intention was the same as the special edition, just to do it better. Which the special edition was to bring the originals closer to the level of the prequels.

I dont know man, based on Ady’s own words it seems his intentions is to enhance the OT in itw own, and if it happens to tie anything else in its just a “bonus” for those who want it to:

Quote from Adywan:

"The plan to finish ROTJ:R with Luke and the ghosts at the funeral pyre was always there prior to TFA even being announced. It’s just that, after seeing TFA, it does actually foreshadow whats to come. Revisited was always meant to stand on it own in that it wouldn’t follow official canon. Happily for me though, nothing i plan to do to the Revisited saga contradicts anything in the new films, so that’s just a happy accident. The prequels will also be erased from the saga now that i am no longer doing them. I just can’t bring myself to ever watch them again. The prequel references added to ANH:R will be gone for the HD version (The battle droid added into the sandcrawler scene was only added as in in-joke anyway. Left in a junk pile 😉 ). I no longer have to worry about fixing anything in the OT that contradicts those films. And, even if by some miracle i do decide to do them, i’ll fix the problems in those instead. So no biggie. But, for me, I’d like to start my viewing with Rogue One, followed by the OT, then the ST , as those films are far superior to the PT. Those are the only parts i would like to fit together now. Although you’d probably still be able to watch the prequels with Revisited because nothing i’m doing really contradicts those anyway ( plus i may still be adding the “you’re Mother once thought as you do” line instead of the original “Obi-Wan). That’s just my personal opinion of the PT and i appreciate that there are fans out there that like them, so i wouldn’t really want to make Revisited so you couldn’t watch the PT too if you wanted to.”

What? The emperor is the sole reason for Anakin turning and serving the Empire, what else are you guys suggesting other than “strongly disagree”.Also every sith ever overthrow and betray each other, usually in for continuous serving the dark but neverteless. In addition he is propechied literally and blatant several times to destroy the sith, surely this must have crossed his mind every now and then wouldnt you think?

I dont think its the technical issue that holds Ady back on this one, he already remixed Vader voice quite considerably as well as enhancing many other sounds and audio. It definetly have nothing to do with the PT, if it ties them together by chance then thats a bonus but its not a priority. And its not a “fix” either its just an alternative, Vader responds “Obi-Wan once thought as you do” after Luke asks him to come with him. That is pretty much everything Obi-Wan does in the prequels, and its also what we learn about the past through the OT. Although Obi-Wan gives up when Vader is completely turned, the “once” moment does not refer to a week, a month, a year ago.

I have never seen Adywan address these scenes in any way, apart from *may still be adding “you’re Mother once thought as you do” line instead of the original “Obi-Wan.

From my impression of the 2 other revisited movies and Adywan’s posts I doubt he completely changes the scenes he doesnt have a problem with, the ones listed at page 1, facebook page and/or wordpress page. The emperor, Vader and Luke scenes are not adressed and I have never seen anyone nor Adywan really wanting to change these. As you can see the changes are mostly visual changes, removal of the most ridiculous/offensive/unnecessary/excessive original & special scenes, and very few changes in dialouge in general, and the few which are being made are “fixing” obvious errors/continuity without altering the original dialouge too much.

Agree they are important.
The beginning would feel too much of a drag with just Jabba. It already does to me and many more. We have already seen the Stardestroyers,a Death Star, most characters comes to a hault in develpoment, and even reworked battle scenes can only add so much extra excitement. Pluss they are amazing standalone scenes, the emperor carry very much of the weaker saga movies.

 1. Restore the deleted scene of Darth Vader in his meditation chamber calling out to Luke as he constructs his new green lightsaber. The scene seamlessly connects the opening Death Star sequence with the Tatooine rescue sequence, which seem disconnected in the theatrical version.

 2. Improve the pacing in the Tatooine rescue sequence. Cut the droid torture scene. Cut the song and dance routine. Cut the dancer falling through the trap door. Cut Leia haggling with Jabba over the bounty for Chewbacca. Cut the thermal detonator. Cut Leia bumping into wind chimes. Cut C-3PO warning Luke that he is standing upon a trap door. Cut the herd of Banthas. Cut the barge sailing over the sand. In general, trim the first act as much as possible.

 3. Restore the deleted footage of Yoda confessing, “Obi-Wan would have told you long ago, had I let him.”

I didn’t realize that these scenes existed, I’m going to have to find them. They sound really interesting.

We should all try to help this Project:
http://originaltrilogy.com/topic/Star-Wars-saga-Extra-Extended-Edition-1080p/id/52131

If we could get the best avaible quailty scenes at all time, restored many times as time and technology improves. We could all then hopefully one day be able to cut in the scenes we personally miss into whatever Version/edit we enjoy to get the ultimate definitive personal edition we like.
