The soundmix is actually 2.0 as with other UHD broadcasts and not 5.1

HDTV2DVD says the ts file is :

Audio type : Ac3
Sample rate : 48000
Audio bitrate : 384 kbps

Do you mean this is AC3 (DD) 2.0 ?

I've just remembered I've asked HDTV2DVD to make a dvd5. Maybe that's why it resampled the sound.

Still resampling without asking a dvd5...

So maybe Zeromancer has find the clue and the ts file is DD 2.0

Matinee (HDTV2DVD) (Released)

Hello

I’ve got a 8,05 go ts file of the movie Matinee directed by Joe Dante which has been broadcast by Universal HD.
This wonderful movie has only been released region 1 by Image Entertainment not enhanced in widescreen and is only 2.0. The region 2 uk is the same.
So far, I’ve tried to make a dvd with hdtv2dvd. This program allows me to get a 16:9 dvd but resample the sound in stereo though my ts file is 5.1.
Could somebody help me encoding it the right way ?

If someone want to do a special cover, you’re welcome.

I’ll post the dvd in a newsgroup when the project will be complete.

Thanx.

I haven't acutally even looked at the set yet. My copy is a beat-to-hell old rental copy, so if there are playback issues with it, I won't do anything with it. Also, I'm somewhat reticent at this point to anything containing more than a hundred or so slides. The first disc of Munchausen took me 3 days to complete; the second is almost on its second month of clogging up my computer.

I understand. I hope you will do it anyway if the playback is fine and if you've got some time. I love the film so much. And the dvd from buena vista is so fucked up. I think the film deserves better treatment.

Thx bdev for your involvement in preserving criterion titles.
