Idea: for a Scott Pilgrim fan edit?
Time

I recently purchased Scott Pilgrim V.S. the World on Blu-Ray and felt the same displeasure that I remember after leaving the theatre. The ending was, needless to say, a let down. Although the plot has been dramatically overhauled and is not, therefore, the same storyline that exists in the original graphic series, Edgar Wright retained the same ENDING that the book series had, which feels disingenuous and frustrating for the viewer.

And what do I find amongst the deleted scenes? An alternate ending. A credible alternate ending.

And a whole host of deleted and alternate material that almost always feels more appropriate than the material presented in the film or supplements it tremendously.

I have never edited a film and wouldn’t know how to go about it. I’m willing to try if someone can lay down the simplest steps necessary to do so…though, of course, I’d much prefer one of you editing geniuses took an interest and did it (correctly, as opposed to whatever I could accomplish)!

What do you think? Thoughts? Any takers?
