Oh yes, it's a good reason to upgrade. From what I've seen in the preview, the menu movie, and the screen caps, it looks like it'll be truly epic. Thanks in advance.

I think the difference will be negligible, at least on my low end TV. There may be a difference on a higher end monitor though.

Cool. I didn't know if you needed to do something more drastic like bump the audio down from 5.1 to 2.0 to make it fit.

I've also decided to go ahead with a single layer version--mainly because I don't have a DL burner. If there is interest in that, it will get posted as well.

Oh really? And here I am on newegg trying to find a DL burner for no other reason than to put Rad on it (although I'm sure it'll serve me well in the future). How much would it hurt the qualtity and how long do you think it would take?

Does anyone remember the video store rental copy of Rad advertisting for the dirt bike kid (and vice versa)?

Anyway, regarding availability, it will be posted to the newsgroups when completed. Probably alt.binaries.dvd. From there it's on its own.

From when starkiller posted that message until now there are about 4GiB of headers on alt.binaries.dvd that my newsreader needs to chew through before I could possibly find the upload and my ISP caps it at ~30KiB. Grr. If my math is correct that'll be about two days from now which runs afoul with the 30 day rention rate. Can anyone confirm/deny if it has indeed been posted and give me an approximate date so I can find it?

Or point me to a tool to help me help myself. my old stand by guba seems to have turned into a youtube knock-off and google feigns ignorance of the group.

thanks
