(The Mandalorian+BoBF) The Way of Mandalore | A Legends Movie Saga (Final Update in Progress: 5/6 Done)
Time

Yeah, I thought that was the reason. And as I said, it just confused me bit at first, it’s really not a problem to redownload 😃

As English is not me first language, subtitles to fan edits is absolutely marvelous and not something I am spoiled with getting! So thanks again for providing them, both here and on your Rebels recut.

Hey all, just wanted to announce that Darthg00b has completed the subtitles for Book 3! Give him a big round of applause

Clap, clap!

Exciting stuff this! I got two questions about the subtitles I hope you don’t mind me asking:

Is there any reason why the subtitles is not in a separated file? No t a big problem really, I just got a little confused before I understood that I had to download the whole movie once more to get subtitles.

I can’t seem to find subtitle versions for movie 1-2. Am I missing something or do they not exist?

Thanks again, to both the editor and the “subtitlor”!

THE REBELLION TRILOGY - A 21C Peasant Fan Edition Project - Released!
Time

Saw the whole trilogy a few days ago and I have to agree with the latest speakers. To include som clips from the TV-series in Rogue One is truly a great idea to connect the whole thing together. If I was to nitpick, I would place the Bix scene at the very end - maybe even in a post-credit scene (even tough post-credit scenes is not very “Star Warsihy”). Anyway, Rogue One is great stuff.

But yeah, the TV seasons feels a bit rushed when they cut down to movies. It’s a great way to get Cassians story, but I really feel we loose a lot. However, this was the intention of the edits, so salute to the editor who did a great job to achieve his goal.

It would be great tough, if there was a fan edit of the TV shows that gives us much of the extra stuff and still fits well with this version of Rogue One. “Two short seasons and a movie”. Have you considered this, 21C?

Anyway - thank you very much for a fun night with Cassian!

Hal’s Rogue One edit (a half-assed version of DigMod’s) (Released)
Time

Just saw this yesterday. And the King has done it again, folks.

I’ve always liked Rogue One, but watching this edit after Andor turns the whole thing up even a few more notches.

I’ll give this edit a 99.9 score.

0.1 points is deducted because of the missing “Jyn, I’ll be there for you… Cassian said I’d have to”.
So now I’m looking forward to the maximalist version where this is included 😉

Great work, Hal!

I watched the first two movies over the weekend and this is most certainly going to be my go-to versions from now on.

Out of curiosity: I guess you, as me, saw the original show. And hopefully I will be es excited as you when I finally sees this version.

But how you (and others in this thread, please share your thought also) think this edit will be for a first time viewer?

I’ve been planning to introduce my girlfriend to Star Wars in the (hopefully near) future. Will it be better to show her this then the TV show, or should we see the full show first and use these edits for rewatches?

⭐ Star Wars' 50th anniversary in 2027 ⭐ | Your hopes and expectations (if any)...

I think it has been discussed somewhere on here mate - though the gist was it is likely a temporary crop for this aspect of the project - or possibly cropped to focus on / examine any potential image issues for the ALI team (or for those they are uploading the images for). It is also worth noting when using any IB Tech print footage it would likely be cropped more tightly before ‘final cut’.

Thanks!

As it is all a WIP (Work In Progress)… many of us simply trust ALI to get this right like they’ve done pretty much everything else so far. 👍

ALI akbar! 😄

NEW SCREENSHOT COMPARISON - AND A NEW VIDEO CLIP - FROM STAR WARS

ALI…

Is ALI cropped differently? On the wall with lights, the lowest rows third light from left is almost completely gone here. UHD and 4K77 on the other hand shows more of this light, and the blu(e) ray even more.

Sorry if this is already discussed.

I would love to see “Definitive Editions” where all the problematic changes are reversed. Obviously, this brings a problem : what to keep and what to reverse?

To make every fan happy, Disney must release this on the streaming service with a questionnaire that the viewer have to fill out before watching the movie:

Do you prefer
a) Han shoots first
b) Greedo shoots first

Do you prefer
a) Yub Nub
b) Victory celebration

…and 50 questions later the streaming will adjust the movie according to your input! 😄

But to answer more seriously: If they ever was gonna make to a “Definitive Edition”, they should base it on Hals “Custom Special Edition”.

Labyrinth of Evil enhanced • audiobook fanedit
Time

I’m sorry szpoman, but I really have to complain about this audiobook adaptation!

I was listning to the audiobook while driving to and from work this week. I was backing up my car into my garage and was fully focusing on that when I suddenly heard a big BOOM!

Seriously, I freaked out, because I thought a hit something with the car I bought a few weeks ago. I was about to go out and check … and then I heard a new BOOM!

It was then, that I realized that the BOOM was a sound effect from audiobook!

God damn, that gave me a real scare 😃

Star Wars The Skywalker Saga
Time

A little nitpick:

I like to have my collections in order and I therefore gave each movie a number in front of the movie title. And then I noticed that some movies’ filename in the folder does not match what they are called in the Order.txt.

Really not a big issue. It was not hard to figure out what names belonged to what movie. But as it seems you still work on this project I thought I should mention it.

The Clone Wars: Refocused [COMPLETE] + bonus Quinlan Vos episode by g00b!
Time

Oh, I’m sorry. I misunderstood and got it all wrong - I thought it was said that this new episode was supposed to be watched after s2e00(a), and was confused when I could not find an episode with that number.

I know understand that this episode was intented to be episode s2e00. Then everythings makes more sense 😃

My apologies, but English is not my native language.

Star Wars Rebels Recut - A Fanedit TV Series

Perhaps something like this:

Reeling from the death of their
close friend and rebel leader,
Jedi Knight KANAN JARRUS,
the Lothal Rebellion struggles
to maintain the cohesion to
retake their home planet which
is relentlessly being ravaged
by the Empire.

Much better! But it’s quite a long sentence and when reading it loud (which I like to do, to check how it sounds when reading) I do feel a need for pause.

The easiest fix for this is to just put a comma after “planet”. And then I would move “which” down a line.

Reeling from the death of their
close friend and rebel leader,
Jedi Knight KANAN JARRUS,
the Lothal Rebellion struggles
to maintain the cohesion to
retake their home planet,
which is relentlessly being

Star Wars Rebels Recut - A Fanedit TV Series
Time

Forgive me if this have been discussed before, but i just say everything that pops into my mind 😃

Would it be better to have the (Rebels) episode number in the title?
Something like:

"Rebels

Episode X.X
SECRET OF THE TEMPLE"

(I don’t know if it will fit here, bu I like episodes in Star Wars media!)

Should the Emperor, Pryce and Thrawn be capitalized like KANAN JARRUS?

The end of the second paragraph seem a bit clunky to me, but then again - I’m not a native English-user, so perhaps it is my language skills that is lacking. There will be better words to use than in the following example, but maybe something like this?

"the Rebellion struggles
to maintain the cohesion to
retake their beloved home world
Lothal, that is relentlessly
shattered by the Empire .
