STAR WARS: EP VI -RETURN OF THE JEDI "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - ** PRODUCTION HAS NOW RESTARTED **
Time

Here’s the second space battle sequence with the extra crew as a proof of concept:

At last the guy in the Falcon’s turret would be able to show his friends he wasn’t lying about (almost) being in the movie! He must have been one disappointed dude… That seemed pretty seamless, but I can see why they cut it.

ROTJ was on TV the other night and I needed a SW fix, so I watched a little. But I had to shut it off during Jabba’s palace scene (just before the @#$%ing musical number) because Adywan’s will be so much better I just couldn’t take it.

And I still need my fix!!! Guess it’s SW:R and ESB:R and a bottle of rum tonight!

Not sure if this has been brought up before, but during the saber battle in the throne room, particularly when the camera is in motion (especially during the scene where Luke is hiding and Vader is looking for him) the stars out the windows look really janky - they shake/shudder and look really terrible. Small detail, but once you’ve noticed it’s really jarring. Be nice to see that fixed.

I wonder what people would think about adding a couple of stormtrooper/scout helmets to the Ewok village, in the background somewhere, to establish early on that the Ewoks have been skirmishing with the Empire all along. Some implied experience might help explain their later stormtrooper killing prowess…

I wonder if it would be possible to brighten up the lighting of the space battle at all. The space battle at Scarrif in Rogue One was simply spectacular because of the bright lighting - it looked just like the brightly lit shots you see from the ISS. I realize you could explain it away that Endor’s sun is just a dimmer star, but the RO battle was so much more vivid and realistic looking. ROTJ’s battle looks dingy and unconvincing in comparison.

Also, when the Death Star opens fire on the rebel ships, I always thought that the beam should pass right through the vaporized ship and keep going, rather than simply disappearing right after making contact. It would make the laser look much more powerful.

(Also +1 for a K2!)
