Loving the updates. I'm sure you guys here it a lot, but it's worth repeating: thank you so much for the work you're putting in. I have been following this project for years, and I cannot wait to it all come to fruition. I don't comment a lot, but I'm sure I speak for a large number of other similarly silent observers that I know are just as excited as I am. Keep up the great work

I would like to echo the above!!  I'm a fairly silent follower as I have little by way of expert knowledge or opinion that I can contribute - simply that I follow the work on this project across the three films and am so grateful for everything being done for the fans.

As SS4DarthPayne said - "keep up the great work"

Back on topic, I can only find a BD-50 of ROTJ in the usual place: it's the one with the audio fix.  Was there no BD-25?

I've been trying to download it, but the download has stopped half the way through, and the files I have downloaded all seem to be incomplete.  I don't know if I will be able to recover this archive, even with PAR files. :-(

No Wookie Groomer did not release a BD25 of Jedi.  From memory, Jedi was a little tricky to complete.  You may need to do a raw usenet search for Wookie Groomer - I believe that he posted up NZBs for his most recent versions...

Just finished burning Phantom Menace to a BD50 and popped it in a PS3.  Movie looks very good indeed Wookie Groomer and huge thanks and appreciation as always.  It was always going to be the 'grainy one' but you've done a superb job with it and the colour correction is neat too.

I didn't get the chance to watch it all the way through, nor the extras - it was more of a disc test exercise, shuttling through random chapters prior to my marathon WG blu-ray 6-movie session (and two days off sick from work next week), when I will watch each movie in order plus all the extras.

Once again, thank you for all your work and dedication to this project. The set look beautiful and I'd seriously doubt that Star Wars in HD will look better prior to an official commercial release.

dark_jedi and those asking what programs he uses - it could be because he's hard at work trying to finish Phantom Menace too! Don't automatically assume it's because he's ignoring you; he may not be!

After all, he *is* doing this for free, and doesn't actually owe us anything, really.

I'd second that.  WG has said that Phanto Menace is going to be a challenge and I'd say that pnag is right in that he'll no doubt be working hard on finishing it.

Give the man time :)

Just wanted to say that I downloaded Clones and burnt to a BD50 yesterday.  Watched it through last night including the Accross the Stars video.

It's an absolutely amazing release and I cannot thank you enough Wookie Groomer.  The picture quality is razor sharp and the audio is first-class too.  I am completely blown away by this release and I'd urge anybody who has the means to download this and Wookie Groomer's other blu-ray releases and burn them to a blu-ray disc; they really do set the standard in HD.

Thanks again Wookie - I can't wait for Menace :¬)

Come on guys!  You're telling me no one here has the Skycaps???  Please help wookiegroomer/everyone out.

ROTS is going up on the groups now!!  Looking at the nfo, this is going to be a seriously nice release and I can't wait to watch it.

I really hope that Wookie Groomer is able to get the Sky caps of Eps 1 and 2 to complete this set.

I'm not certain whether DVD-BOY follows this thread but since he's working on his own versions in blu-ray format it's possible that he has the Sky caps of TPM and AOTC that you need to complete your set of six, Wookie Groomer?

In case he doesn't follow this thread, I've popped a request on the relevant thread - hopefully somebody there can help you.

Cheers,

My project has kind os stalled at present - work / life has been rather busy, and the last time I looked I was having issues with sync on TPM, which has blunted my enthusiasm.  Hopefully I will get a chance to take a look at things on Sunday.

Still probably going with Cinevision as it's what I know - just don't have the time to play about with x264.

I'm sorry to hear that this project has stalled but I do hope that you're able to overcome the issues that you've encountered and get back on track soon as it's been looking very promising.

Incidentally, were you aware that Wookie Groomer has requested assistance in obtaining the Sky caps of TPM and AOTC over on his blu-ray thread?  I asume that you have these to facilitate your project so thought you might be able to help Wookie Groomer out?

Thats what he needs them for, and I don't know if the re-encoded ones will work for him...  If anyone has the originals help him, and all of us, out so he can finish all 6 of his new bluerays.

I'd seccond this. Somebody on these forums must have the Sky  UK caps of Eps 1 and 2 and could help Wookie Groomer so that he can complete this project.  I believe that he'll shortly be releasing Sith on blu-ray so it would be a crying shame if he couldn't complete the series.

Firstly, I would like to say that Wookiegroomer is a legend for making the fan edits available in such great quality.

I obtained the first version of V and was entranced by how great it looked.  I noticed a sync issue but ignored it.  Subsequently I obtained IV and VI and also noticed issues.

It was quite costly in bandwidth and time obtaining IV, V and VI and I am very reluctant to toss them away and obtain the final re-issues unless it is the only way to obtain "perfect" copies.

Alternatively, would it be possible to obtain the correct audio delay and demux and remux the files that I have, to correct the sync issue?  Or, is the sync issue not one of a constant offset, but variable and therefore not amenable to simply applying a delay to the offending audio tracks?

IMHO it's well worth downloading the proper releases of these.

Wookie Groomer,

I just watched your "Battle of Heroes" video and I can sum up my feelings in one word. AMAZING!!

Great job. I'm looking forward to your prequal releases. They should be spectacular.

+1 over here!!  Watched this a few minutes ago and it's FANTASTIC!!  The editing on this montage is inspired and I can't wait to see your prequel blu-rays.  They will compliment your recent OT releases perfectly.  Thanks Wookie Groomer.

I'd say the menu is slightly non standard (as in, not exactly 1920x1080, or something like that!)

Have you noticed that when you select Dolby 5.1 and skip chapters, it takes about 5 or 6 seconds for the soundtrack to catch up? Only happens on Jedi, and again, this is in TMT!

Yes I've noticed this too and just with Jedi. That is burnt to a BD50, Jedi's soundtrack takes at least 5/6 seconds to catch up. This doesn't happen with ANH oe ESB burnt to BD50.

Thank Gawd (& Wookie Groomer!) for PAR files - Easynews had posted a bogey part91; got it sorted though! (Funny thing is, if there are even 6/7 good blocks in a file, they usually don't post it at all, meaning you often can't reconstruct with the PARs and have to look for missing files elsewhere!)

Anyhow, just wondering what people are using to burn ANH seeing as it's not an ISO? Just Nero?

Just settling down to watch AHN having successfully grabbed it without need for Pars / repair off Astraweb and burnt to a BD50.  Pnag; just use Imgburn and burn files to disc...that's what I did.

Right-oh, stormtropers just about to blast through the door so I'm going to bother my neighbours with my suround sound!!!

WG - looking very, very nice indeed!!  Again, thanks for all you've done on these.

Any one else getting CRC errors on part 91 of the reposted (final) New Hope? I've redownloaded that file twice?

Will let you know - I'm just about to start grabbing it overnight (in the UK)...!!

Burnt Jedi to a BD50 earlier and just finished watching it and I've got to once again raise my glass to Wookie Groomer for a job well done!  Picture is so sharp I almost cut myself on it and the audio is perfect. I also saw that the end credits 'freeze out' around three-quarters of the way through but what the heck, I'm in it for the movie and it's an awesome presentation....thanks WG :¬)

Next stop, ANH!!

I grabbed ESB last night, burnt to a BD50 and watched it this morning and just want to say a massive thank you Wookie Groomer.  It's a real pleasure to watch and I'm so grateful that you persevered with this project.

I'll have ROTJ in 20 mins and burnt to a BD50 for this evening's viewing (Astraweb also gets a thumbs up from me - Gigganews is just so full of holes these days) and will grab ANH overnight, so once again THANK YOU!!

I'm almost afraid to ask but you comment that what's out there is the last of your projects that you'll be sharing...does this mean that you don't intend to release BD50s of Episodes I, II and III?

I'd just like to thank Wookiegroomer for uploading the corrected audio files that fix the low level center channel issue on The Empire Strikes Back (BD50).

Keep up the good work!

I second that. Many thanks Wookie Groomer, it's much appreciated. I can't do anything with it for a week and a half as am on holiday but I'm hopeful that a kind soul will explain how to mux this into the existing DB50.

I know this place is "original trilogy", but how about leaving this version be.  Color correction will add picture noise unless you up the rate like WG did.  And to even do CC the way it should you need a professional setup, not just whole scene altering.  2 BD50s is a neat idea, but I'm for upping the bitrate of each slightly so they'll each fill a BD25.  This way there's piece of mind in them being as good as the originals.  No need for changes, menus, extra audio, just a nice simply showcase of them with the best picture quality.

This would certainly get my vote! I'd say leave them alone but go for best achievable picture quality & a movie per BD25. I agree that there is no need for menus, changes and additional audio. Whilst I can't provide technical expertiese, I will gladly burn BD's for folk.
