Out of all the restorations I’ve seen from Disney, one of the worst color restorations I’ve ever seen from them is the Region 1 DVDs of one of my favorite Mickey Mouse shorts, The Prince and the Pauper.
I mean, just look at this!

The difference is almost literally “night and day”!

I have a Facebook page where I compare different color restorations from one release of a Disney film to another. So far, the most appalling color restorations that I have seen are the Diamond Edition of Beauty and the Beast, the region 1 DVDs of Disney’s The Prince and the Pauper, and the 2002 DVD of The Great Mouse Detective.
