In this context, you don't have 'power of' you have 'power over'. 'Power of' is only used with abilities, here it is poor English. Just my grammar pickiness...

So wait you think spending 9 hours a day 5 days a week indicates a lack of passion!? Jesus, there's no pleasing some people - you'd be criticising him if he'd said it was dead easy and he finished it in a week. Frankly there's only one thing here that's 'pretty sad'...

The audio work is pretty good in general, though the two-headed announcer is speaking German from the sound of things which is a little off-putting!

I didn't like MagFan's Jar Jar either tbh...felt it went a little too far. A lot of the rest of the edit is very good though. Where can you get these other subtitles and how can you use them?

Well, Rikter was good enough to send me the MagnoliaFan edits, so many thanks to him.

They're interesting certainly, and some of the changes I very much agree with - some trims I didn't notice or miss at all which I think says volumes for their worth - but at times I felt maybe the edits went a little far at times, some cuts at the ends of scenes (especially in AOTC), for time reasons I suppose, were a bit sudden for me, though perhaps that was just familiarity with the originals getting the better of me, the cuts being a bit unexpected at times.
Regarding the Pod Race, while I agree it was bloated in the original and DVD release, I felt that in the edit it was a little too cut up, and the music changes didn't work for me. It became hard to keep track of where he was in the race.
I liked Jar Jar a lot more, but felt he was pushed a little too far in calling Anakin a 'little bastard' - perhaps this was the result of an (understandble! lol) temptation to get as far away from GL's Jar Jar as possible! Thought Sebulba was much meaner too. Woo-and-Yay for that certainly.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved a lot of it - Watto was much cooler (cantina song - genius!) and getting rid of half Anakin's lines seems to have improved Jake Lloyd's performance no end. The subtitles were clever too - Trade Federation were mean bastard...even if perhaps Gunray's lines were a little clumsy at times - the 'Shoot his companions' lines jarred for me.

What certainly isn't in doubt is MagnoliaFan's skill - this is a damned nifty piece of work and you are to be congratulated sir.

Yeah no doubt GH left a useful legacy. We're just a few players away from a pretty decent team... hope Rafe can deliver!

I gave Rikter a PM, no response yet but i'm sure he'll get back to me.

I tend to frequent KopTalk, the news and insider stuff is a good laugh though I don't post very often. I wasn't a GH basher, he'll always have a place in my heart for delivering some silverware for the first time in many years. We were close, just that year of signing Diouf Cheyrou and Diao instead of, say, Duff, really did damage. I think if he'd bought better players then a lot would have been different. But that's life. He was a good honest man, didn't deserve a lot of the stick he got...have to admit I was surprisingly emotional when he was sacked!

And you're right, that new Away shirt is a crime against humanity.

Yeh interesting summer so far...am very much looking forward to the new season - think appointment of Rafa was quite the coup. Still reckon we need a few signings though, a centre-back, right wing and a central midfielder I think, but am excited by Cisse, he looks the shit.

Hello all, was wondering if you could tell me where/how I could get this most interesting MagnoliaFan edit of the prequels...I'm in the UK...oojason, from your Hillsborough stuff (good to see a fellow Liverpool fan btw), I take it you're in the UK, how did you get it? Sorry if this has been mentioned and somehow missed by me...Cheers all.
