Some folks on MySpleen complained about interlacing artifacts I didn’t notice. An updated version to fix that is coming, I’ll let you all know when it’s done.
Where would interlacing artifacts have been introduced here? Isn’t everything print-sourced?

Since v3.1 is inevitable, I’ll point out that the opening shot is from the SE. In 4K83, the TIE fighters are much bluer than the Star Destroyer. This change is not in the Viscomp. I believe this a power window fix and not due to the overall color grade. The fighters are blue in other shots in the same sequence where DEED uses 4K83. (FWIW, the GOUT also has blue fighters on a grey Destroyer.
Also, most 4K preservations use HEVC 10-bit SDR rather than 8-bit. Oohteedee should have plenty of information on this.
Some important information: MKVToolNix’s splitting is not frame-accurate.
You could avoid all the splitting if you import the movie a few different times into your editing timeline, stretch each of them one of the ways it may need to be stretched, and compare them shot by shot.

Have you considered using D+80 as your source for theatrical shots?
Unless we can coordinate a summit of project leads and get everyone to agree to a frame standard, it’s likely to continue to be a mess.
All new projects from TSWT forums are very likely to be theatrically synced. The only project that isn’t is 4K77, and version 2.0 is supposed to change that. Since Despecialized is (or was) using these projects as a basis, it seems to make sense to use the new standard.
The D+XX preservations all use the new sync standard (Destiny Edition and OTD83 included). It’s 1 frame in Star Wars, 2 frames in ESB, and 2 frames in ROTJ.

DNR versions of 4K77 and 4K83 have really great opening logos. I believe the DNR version of 4K77 has that hair at the top removed.
If your player doesn’t support 4k Blu-rays, it probably won’t play the 4k file. If it does, it would have to downscale it for your projector.
He may even have a regrade without his customizations. He is collaborating with Dre on an ESB regrade.
A Bluray regrade would be more accurate and of higher quality than Adywan’s version as well.

According to DoubleOFive’s comparison, a few shots use gamma correction instead, such as the shot with both sabers in front of the Emperor. EDIT: It also makes no mention of 1997 recomposites. 4K83 should be the best source, but HDTV definetly works.
the film is color timed to the 2004 versions (minus the botched lightsabers, those shots are replaced by the Blu-Ray).
Does this mean that the color is HDTV matched to the Blu-Ray in those shots or that they just use the Blu-Ray? IIRC, the HDTV version uses the 1997 recomposites, just with messed up color. The Blu-Ray uses new digital cores.
