Apparently the UHD still has the censored audio with the Bagavad Gita chant removed. Shame, as the release claims to have the ā€œoriginal theatrical 5.1 surround soundtrack remastered from the 35mm magnetic trackā€. Oh well.

Source?

Is that my 35mm revival in this article? That’s very cool! Keep in mind that the original leaked ones I used in my project had film fade, especially reel 2, where it is way worse, so I regraded them to match the NTSC LaserDisc, especially since the colours are identical to the opening night bootleg if I recall.

Maybe you should send them screengrabs of your revised one so he’s not misinterpreting anything or giving a false impression.

by combining the CLV release with patches from the Deluxe CAV release.

I’m curious as to what needs to be patched?

Just a transition between sides 1 and 2. This is where the audio from side 2 on the Deluxe CAV release patches it.

I see. Thanks for the info.

The encode is done. Everything’s finished. Eyes Wide Shut in 35mm is available.

If you donated a long time ago to this project, you should have gotten a PM. If you expressed interested in donating, you also should have gotten a PM.

If you haven’t got a PM and are still interested, you can PM me.

what are the audio tracks for this. Did you ever add the cinema DTS track?

May this thread never die!

I think someone spoke too soon.

General thoughts about this thread:

I’m coming back 16 years later to say that The Sixth Sense is great. Unbreakable is great. Sure it’s ā€œslowā€ but a better word is methodical. All of the negative comments here about them are frankly completely misguided. Just because you ā€œguessedā€ the end of a film shouldn’t take away from the rest of the film if it’s a good film, which I believe both are.
