Glad bro was banned. Dumbest thing I’ve seen in a while

I know Mangowolf attempted to do something similar to this. How does this project compare to theirs?
Apparently the UHD has the censored audio with the Bagavad Gita chant removed. Shame, as the release claims to have the “original theatrical 5.1 surround soundtrack remastered from the 35mm magnetic track”. Oh well.
I await some caps and comps.
The chant was removed during the theatrical run. There’s 2 versions of the cinema DTS tracks, one with and one without. So technically, they’re not lying.
True, it’s not completely false advertising because for a lot of people the censored one is the “original”. However, it’s not the ORIGINAL original track, it’s the original REVISED track. Obviously, Criterion would never say that outright, but it would’ve been nice to finally have it on home video. I wonder if (outside the discs) the true original mix no longer exists, and all they have is the revised one. The Cinephiles remux includes the uncensored CDTS mix, so at least there’s that.
@jinxfan2
I just sent a PM. Thanks again!

Criterion just announced a 4K digital restoration of the international version of the film to be released in November 25th:
Only 1.85:1 aspect ratio though. 😦
The prints were hard matted anyway
Not all of them. Some were open matte.
how is the color grading compared to the 4k bd and is this uncensored video and audio?

is this uncensored video and audio?
It’s the international version so it’s uncensored video but the audio is still censored as with every other release excluding the original 1999 release. Only the first CDTS mix is uncensored.
Apparently the UHD still has the censored audio with the Bagavad Gita chant removed. Shame, as the release claims to have the “original theatrical 5.1 surround soundtrack remastered from the 35mm magnetic track”. Oh well.

Is that my 35mm revival in this article? That’s very cool! Keep in mind that the original leaked ones I used in my project had film fade, especially reel 2, where it is way worse, so I regraded them to match the NTSC LaserDisc, especially since the colours are identical to the opening night bootleg if I recall.
Maybe you should send them screengrabs of your revised one so he’s not misinterpreting anything or giving a false impression.
by combining the CLV release with patches from the Deluxe CAV release.
I’m curious as to what needs to be patched?
Just a transition between sides 1 and 2. This is where the audio from side 2 on the Deluxe CAV release patches it.
I see. Thanks for the info.

I’m curious as to what needs to be patched? Does this have the same exact problems as the Toy Story LD?
@Sambarker04
Thanks for adding it!
Will this have the commentary with Selick, Burton, and Elfman from the DVD/Blu-ray?

@Gigawattboy
You should add this edit to fanedit.org IFDB.
The encode is done. Everything’s finished. Eyes Wide Shut in 35mm is available.
If you donated a long time ago to this project, you should have gotten a PM. If you expressed interested in donating, you also should have gotten a PM.
If you haven’t got a PM and are still interested, you can PM me.
what are the audio tracks for this. Did you ever add the cinema DTS track?
May this thread never die!
I think someone spoke too soon.
General thoughts about this thread:
I’m coming back 16 years later to say that The Sixth Sense is great. Unbreakable is great. Sure it’s “slow” but a better word is methodical. All of the negative comments here about them are frankly completely misguided. Just because you “guessed” the end of a film shouldn’t take away from the rest of the film if it’s a good film, which I believe both are.
PM me for a copy.
PM sent!
Does anyone plan to sync the DTS to these scans?

Donation sent!
I’d be happy to contribute to this!
organ site?
Did someone leak it? That’s awful.
I’d love a link to this.
Thanks in advance!
