The "EditDroid" Trilogy DVD Info and Feedback Thread (Released)

What I did is I took the TR47 video and meshed it with the isolated soundtrack and I encoded the TR47 audio as full-quality m2a audio. I used DVD lab to re author with the menus and chapters.

Whoever invented the DVD format should be shot, drawn, quartered and then slapped silly. Not in that order.

Anyhow, that's how I 'solved' the dot crawl problem ;P (the video quality is 'worse' than the editdroid video, but I found the dot crawl nauseating... so it ends up being better all around ;-)).

hmm... that has a high degree of bizzare...

I guess we can conclude it's the disc, as it seems to not work on both the computer + set top, and I have a working copy of the same torrent'd data.

Maybe pick up a 5 pack of some other DVD media?

And you're sure it's claiming successful data burnage at the end. It's not having an error or something, is it? Does the disc look full if you flip it over to the data side (the data will be a slightly different color compared to the unburned portion. If it's stopping halfway through, it will look like a dullish band that stops about halfway from the edge of the disc. If you can't see two colors, then it's most likely finishing all the way.)

This is, indeed, a puzzlement...

Burn it with Nero as a 'DVD-Video', or use IFO Edit to create a DVD ISO (a binary image of the disc) that you can then burn to the DVD using the burn iso feature in your burning program. There are HOWTOs for this on google, I believe.

Simply burning the folder to a DVD will not work.

I hope that helps :-)

I'm going to make a re-mux of EditDriod's ROTJ soundtrack + menus w/ TR47's ROTJ video + PCM audio. I've only got 75% of the TR47 ROTJ disc, but I think I figured out how to work IFOEdit . Talk about a serious lack of user interface...

[EDIT] Actually, come to think of it, there might not be enough space on the DVD for the PCM audio and the sound track. I might have to nuke the DVD_ROM folder, but that sould still be cool...[/EDIT]
