What is the rarest video in your collection?
Time
Pah... what's "rare"? I suppose to e.g. a North American customer with a locked drive a non-R1 DVD that's unreleased in USA and, say, was only released in one country would be rare (Polanski's "Pirates", the US edit of "Fearless Vampire Hunters", the 2-disc version of "Dominion", for instance...). "Rare" as in the so-called "limited editions" (the 2-disc release of "Manhunter" or "Hellboy" with a film cell)? "Rare" workprints, officially unreleased films, practice shorts of future directors (Paul Thomas Anderson, Sam Raimi, Trey Parker, to name a few whose homemade shorts have been leaked) etc.? "Rare" due to their legal problems ("Ricky 6")? "Rare" as in "even the director won't acknowledge their existence" ("Manson Family Massacre" )? "Rare" because only the person responsible for their existence was interested in somehow releasing them, and that in a tiny quantity (a certain awkward individual who plagues Sylvester Stallone with a certain plotless film of his comes to mind... )?

Help: looking for... any workprints or fan edits?
Time
I've got that Fight Club workprint... still haven't watched more than the opening 5 seconds, though, so I cannot tell what the differences are. I doubt I would catch them, either - I don't know this film well. If I recall correctly, the opening in the final version had different music, though.

(I dug it out now, to take a shot... the quality is awful. Here's some random frame:

Info: THE ARRIVAL - Special Edition (seeking a team up) (lots of useful info)
Time
Oh, I remember that... I think that was the B genre's response to the magnificent "Contact"... Nowhere near Contact's level in any respect, of course, but rather entertaining nonetheless.

Actually, I even bought this last year - a US edition has it bundled with its dreadful sequel on one disc. I may have its screenplay for potential inclusion... I'd have to check.

Superman II and Superman III extended (Released)
Time
I'm not looking for a one paragraph summary or vague mentions of "more Jor El", but for a detailed, thorough analysis from someone who knows Superman by heart, who saw the expanded cuts, and who compared them (saw, personally - since there are e.g. some analyses of missing scenes from the script, laserdisc, etc., etc., with someone guessing what extra scenes should be in the Salkind version). Something such as e.g. this analysis and comparisonr of the Cliffhanger workprint: http://www.yourfilelink.com/get.php?fid=100625

If there is anything like that out there.

FS: Han Shot First T-shirts

He singlehandedly saved the flat plot and horrible dialogue in the prequels.

All right, he usually is decent, but in that particular scene, he is so atrocious he makes Christensen look like Marlon Brando...'s t-shirt (What?!? Did someone think I would actually say Christensen is comparable to Brando under any circumstances?)

Help Wanted: improving upon ADigitalMan's Revenge of the Sith edit
Time
It still disgusts me that GL simply accepted this idiotic plea from that horrible "actor" who can only "play" one role all over and over again (before the prequels, I never even considered I would ever have to see a "tuff gangsta Jedi"...), without giving a damn about the established rule of green/blue... I wonder what would have happened if Christensen turned out to like blue and had asked GL "Hey, George, can Vader's suit be blue in this episode"... would we get an "early" blue Vader, too? :\

ITS HAPPENED-- OOT AVAILABLE FROM LUCASFILM
Time
By the way, I still have some small suspicions... I hope that they will not remove the semitransparent cocpits, the blue lines and other imperfections... I want the films completely unchanged.

But I am certain of one thing, and slightly less certain of another... Primo - they will remove Oola's exhibitionism, secundo - they probably will use some Photocrap halo covers instead of the original posters. GL may cave in and allow the "lasers-hit-bodies" effects to stay in, but I truly doubt he will let Oola's mistake remain as it was, unmodified.

I also wonder what the deal with the opening titles is... if the initial announcement was removed, it may indicate that changes are being prepared after all...

Okay, so it is going to happen, just as I thought I would, and much sooner than I was expecting...

Now, let us get to the Greater Task... getting The Lost Cut released!

Actually, I wouldn't mind an official Holiday Special, either, but as much as I was expecting the theatrical versions to get their official release, I am almost certain none of the above two will. The audible demand is most likely too small for that to happen, sadly...

"The Turkish Star Wars"... quality of the DVD, any extras included?
Time
Hah, just as I suspected when typing the above, I forgot one "y" in the title.

Here is the cover of this official DVD:

And speaking of the Turkish turkeys... has anyone, er, "preserved" them on DVD-R, doing any home restoration, etc.? The closest I came to was reencoding "Seytan" ("The Turkish Exorcist") on DVD-R with optional English subtitles, but that's because it's related to The Exorcist... Nevertheless, I was often wondering about some of the atrocities that I never saw - e.g. "Badi" (the remake of "E. T."), the "Turkish Star Trek", the "Philippino Batman and Robin" (supposedly worse than Schumacher's take) and other such ones...

"The Turkish Star Wars"... quality of the DVD, any extras included?
Time

I’m curious if anyone here has or saw the OFFICIAL (sic!) Turkish DVD release of the beloved “classic” “Dunyai Kurtaran Adam” (I wonder if I’m writing the title incorrectly… I’ll have to look it up after posting )? I’m curious about the quality, compared to the usual VHS transfers floating online, and I’m also wondering if it has - heh, heh - any extras…
