Restoration Of The Star Wars Deleted Scenes (a WIP)
Time

I have majorly lost my motivation for this project, as other interests, commitments and jobs leave me without time. Because of this, I am unsure as to whether there will ever be a “Part 4.” I have sat on this Part 3 for 2 months, with the bulk of it complete, and I decided to just finish the video comparison and upload it as to not waste the previous work that went into it: https://youtu.be/GTfucMZkhqQ

Really nice work. I’m always shocked to such a small handful of people devote time to fixing up this footage. It feels like this stuff should have been cleaned up a looong time ago. It gives additional insight into Luke’s character and gives more weight when he reunites with Biggs later and subsequently loses his best friend.

Thanks for putting in the work to do what you’ve done!

Idea & Info: Star Wars Deleted Scenes - Reincorporated?
Time

I'd kill to see these reincorporated back into SW. I get why they were cut out of the original theatrical release, but when considering Luke's overall battle against Vader and the pull of the Dark Side, it makes more sense to see Luke lose more and eventually triumph.

I know someone will create this edit, someday... But I'm surprised it's taken this long for anyone to attempt it.

Definitely, Team Negative1's cleaning up this footage should expedite the process, and I'm thrilled with the work that's been posted.

I know this thread hasn't been touched in almost a year, but I can't help but wonder if anyone is still working on this.

Even a quick and dirty version of SW with unretouched deleted scenes integrated would be a nice version to watch for those of us who want to see how much the scenes would add or detract to the flow of the story as we know it.

Biggs has a story that needs to be told, because it's only a few minutes on film, but it is part of the backstory of our young hero, and shows us more about who Luke was before his fateful run-in with two robots who sweep him up in a path that Luke is destined to walk.  And the losses that Luke must overcome are even more overwhelming, because in addition to losing his aunt, uncle and the recently met, Obi-Wan, he also loses his childhood friend who shared Luke's dreams of leaving their backwater homeworld and becoming adventurers among the stars.

Info Wanted: Which Star Wars edits do you recommend?
Time

Is there a fan edit of Episode IV that contains the deleted scenes with Biggs and friends?

I know that they don't contain music and are scratchy in quality, but I'd love to see a version that shows a Luke Skywalker who loses more than just an Aunt, Uncle and a crazy Jedi who he just met. Losing his lifelong best friend makes it more poignant when he turns away from the darkside.
