Project Threepio (Star Wars OOT subtitles)

Got the subs working and immediately started tampering them… What an asshole I am. Well, here are some improvements I quickly put together for SW-fi-full. They aren’t huge things, mainly small corrections in grammar and contextual things, such as changing “the milky way” to “the galaxy”.

42
00:07:59,000 --> 00:08:02,100
Olen senaatin jäsen ja matkalla Alderaaniin.

53
00:09:03,400 --> 00:09:07,900
Miten me jouduimmekaan
tähän sotkuun?

78
00:17:00,400 --> 00:17:03,900
Käske setääsi hankkimaan
boccea puhuva kääntäjä.

144
00:22:48,600 --> 00:22:52,900
– Luke!
– Tullaan, Beru-täti!

236
00:32:39,700 --> 00:32:45,100
Hän oli galaksin paras
lentäjä ja ovela soturi.

260
00:34:27,000 --> 00:34:31,000
Se ympäröi meitä, on meissä
ja pitää galaksin koossa.

280
00:36:25,400 --> 00:36:28,800
Saat kyydin sieltä Mos Eisleyyn.

337
00:42:55,500 --> 00:42:58,000
Nämä eivät ole etsimänne robotit.

541
01:02:41,300 --> 01:02:44,800
Et voi voittaa sitä, mutta on
muitakin tapoja taistella.

579
01:07:54,200 --> 01:07:55,800
Ben on hyvä mies.

580
01:07:55,900 --> 01:07:58,800
– Hyvä saattamaan meitä pulaan.
– Keksi sinä sitten jotakin.

637
01:14:02,700 --> 01:14:06,500
Tunsin sen viimeksi vanhan
mestarini läheisyydessä.

956
01:50:49,500 --> 01:50:51,500
Helposti, kuin kotikanjonissa.

Thanks for the quick response!

Well, after checking out WineHQ I don’t think I have the patience and skills to dive into that… I might try this with my PC but it’s so old that I don’t think it will manage anything anymore.

How do I “verify the checksum” then?

Another thing: It looks like SW already has 5 subtitles included but VLC wont show them except for quick flashes in some scenes. The included subtitles in ESB work perfectly. I haven’t burnt SW to a DVD yet, but I doubt the subs will work any better on a Blu-Ray player.

EDIT: tsMuxerGUI “can’t detect stream type” with ESB, although it should be a fully functional file. So the problem is probably in the software.

I’m having trouble adding the subtitles to the AVCHDs in the intent of burning to a DVD. To begin with, operating on an old MacBook doesn’t make this any easier. Might just be that my computer skills aren’t sufficient enough…

I have the AVCHD files for the movies in the .ISO form, which means the BDMV and CERTIFICATE folders.
TsMuxerGUI won’t read the m2ts files. I’m getting the “Can’t detect stream type” error when trying to add the file to the input. Which “video and audio file” does it mean in the Project Threepio README?

Am I doing everything wrong? Should I have the films in a completely different file type in the first place? Should I be converting or demuxing the files, if that’s even a thing? - can’t be done in TsMuxerGui since it “Can’t detect stream type”.

If I’m completely on the wrong track here, don’t bother trying to help me! I can happily watch the films without subtitles, they would be just a nice bonus.
