With The Mandalorian, Disney is killing it.
Literally. Killing Star Wars.
These people have no idea what they doing.

With half the season gone, it is obvious that this whole show has no story, and it is only about fan-service.

  1. Tatooine again, but now it is called Arvala or what.
    All Disney’s non-creative team does is copy-paste-rename?
    Really?

  2. This miraculously working tracking fob is ridiculous. This thing finds everything everywhere. A stupid plot convinience for non-creative people. If only Vader knew about this thing, he would have found the Rebel base in no time, so Tarkin could have blown it into a million pieces.
Oh, and if this thing obviously can find anything, then how the EFF this Mandalorian thinks that it is safe to ignore it, and say that babyYoda is now safe somehow on the indian planet? WTF? Is this Mandalorian stupid?

  3. Disney’s clishé factory.
The Jawas are native to Tatooine. But it seems like now the whole galaxy is full with desert planets, and suddenly the Jawas just migrating everywhere with their sandcrawlers to be the scavengers of the galaxy.
Obviously that is all they can do.
Carbon freeze? Really? Why? No good explanation, but make it a clishé fan-service, so people will be happy to see something familiar. Well it is stupid.

  4. Is this spagetti western? First it’s Clint Eastwood’s Django, and now the remake of The Magnificent “Two”?
Really. How creative is this? Star Wars is a western now? Whats it gonna be the next episode? The good the bad and the Mandalorian?

  5. We were wrong!
    George Lucas was wrong!
Everyone thought the strongest Force user was Anakin, as he was created by the Force.
    But NO!
The strongest Force user is this baby!
It can stop and levitate a charging giant rhino!
Luke was not able to stop and levitate the Rancor, and neither was Obi-wan or Anakin able to stop those charging monsters in Attack of the Clones.
But here it is something that is stronger then them.
    Disney’s babyYoda!
And it is 50 years old for no good reason. Only for bad reasons.
As it was alive while the Jedi were the guardians of the Galaxy, and were finding Force sensitive creatures all over the place. Somehow they could not find the strongest on the planet where Yoda was from.
Hey, maybe the Jedi were blind. But Palpatine was able to sense Luke, while he wasn’t strong at all, yet did not sense this thing who is proven to be much stronger? Yeah, right.
For no good reason non of them knew about this thing, who is stronger with the Force then Luke, Obi-wan and Anakin was?
    WTF?

Star Wars I-VI was about Anakin restoring the balance to the Force by destroying both the Jedi and the Sith.
Now Disney’s non-creative team decided it wasn’t.
Not enough that Disney erased the Expanded Universe, now they erased Star Wars I-VI with this babyYoda.
Good job Disney.

Well… okay then. Great job all around 👍🏼👍🏼

Now I kinda wanna see The Mandalorian. But I’m still not gonna pay Disney to watch it.

Maybe my local library’ll pick up the DVD set when/if it gets released.

Disney Plus allows for tons of logins and profiles. Find a friend or family member who has it and have them create you a profile on their account. Problem solved.

Unfortunately, neither exist for me.

That is unfortunate.

I think the episodes are paced fairly well. It’s slow enough for me. Don’t have issue with the action, as it’s miles better than the fast pumping action in the ST. I’m appreciating the quieter moments between characters.

I enjoy the action of the ST, but I greatly agree with you concerning the pace. They had pumped up this show as being like a western, and it delivers on that, and I love it. Feels like Star Wars, but a different, unique vision, of Star Wars.

I loved the first three episodes, episode three being my favorite. Even though they were handled by a different director, they all felt incredibly cohesive. Episodes 1 and 3 in particular having repeat locations and characters that don’t feel different when you come back to them. They way the camera is handled also feels very similar and the performances for the background and supporting actors have the right touch to them. I say all of this to say that episode 4 brought on some disappointment, especially in regards to my last point. The entire intro felt incredibly odd and didn’t seem like Star Wars (and I’ve watched all of Clone Wars and a lot of Rebels), and the waitress at the restaurant felt odd. Those two guys that recruit Mando were terrible, and the whole episode just felt really weird. I can only point to the director, Bryce Dallas Howard, for the reason. Truly disappointing since I had heard such good things about her as a director (apparently her episodes of Black Mirror are amazing, haven’t ever watched the show). I loved the action with the AT-ST, and the quieter moments between Mando and the widow, which felt very necessary to his development, and us as an audience getting to learn a little more about him. Hoping episode 5 is a “return to form” so to speak, especially since I believe the woman who directed episode 3 returns for it. Could be wrong, she may be doing 6 or 7. Just know she and Filoni were the only repeat directors, and Taiki has the finale.

TL;DR: episodes 1-3 are great, especially episode 3. Episode 4 in my opinion a disappointment due to poor direction.

Hey everyone 👋,

TL;DR of me joining:
Decided to look into searching for the anti-cheese Prequel edits. Found these forums and decided to join because I love Star Wars and love talking Star Wars.

Longer version:
I’m a fan of both the John Campea Show and Schmoedown Entertainment Network on Youtube (highly recommend their somewhat-shared show, “Dark Side Light Side,” and Kristian Harloff started talking about the anti-cheese prequels and how they greatly improved those films in his opinion. Decided to do some digging but couldn’t find links. Reached out to a friend of mine who also runs the “Canon Cantina” podcast and he told me he had the Hal 9000 edits. Did some quick Google searching, found what I was looking for, and discovered this site as well. Looked at a few of the discussion areas and realized I totally dug this place and signed up.

Excited to talk Star Wars and looking forward to this new era we’re entering. Crossing my fingers it’s a good era…
