Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)
Time

So played ANH straight through from beginning to end, and yes found three glitches- one was very brief and tolerable, but the other two I can't live with long term. So, back to the drawing board. I think I'll d/l the mkv file from a torrent source this time, and burn onto a differnet disk (rather than the TKD BD-RE Dl 50GB disks I have now). Sure, more $$ for the disks, and more time, but worth it for sure. I'm enjoying the challenge, and the reward is off the charts. Can't wait to have a clean copy in time to show my 8 year old for her birthday this December. Oh, and my wife gets getting blown away by the clarity of this version- I've sung your praises to her multiple times Harmy!! thanks again. I'll let you know how ti all works out.

OH- one last thing. Any recommendations for a bomber bluray disk that has a solid reputation? Preferable one that I can get off Amazon, maybe in a five pack (I'm not a big movie burner as you can tell, so dont' need one of those 10 or 25 packs). Or maybe some kind/generous philanthropist type wouldn't mind selling a few disks in a paypal deal?

You guys rock- thanks for all the help. Good karma all around!

Thanks Stinky- that helped.

Imgburn was able to to burn the files, but I got thousands of failures during the verification step. I clicked long enough that it just kept going, logging each error as it went. It got held up at 90%, as every sector was having a problem at that point, and so I just cancelled the whole thing and ejected the disk. Funny thing, it played just fine on my PS3, which was fanastic!

Now....ESB and ROTJ....here I come

thanks again

Did you make sure the entire thing played? Seems like there could be an issue.

I'm usually too impatient to do the verification as I've never had one fail, though the writing process itself fails from time to time.

Didn't watch beginning to end non stop, but fast forwarded/skipped ahead several times. Watched the beginning 10 minutes and last 10 minutes. No problems. Looking forward to a non-stop, uninterrupted viewing!

Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)
Time

Howdy folks. 1st, the legal stuff: I am an owner of two SW trilogy box sets, the VHS set and the recent high def release (crap!). The thrill I went through when I discovered Harmy's Despecialized edition was palpable!

I've successfully downloaded the v2.5 mkv file, and can watch it in its entirety on my computer with VLC Media Player. What a pleasure to watch.

I'm trying to burn a bluray disc (TDK BD-RE DL 50GB) using AVCHDCoder. However, a few minutes into the process it fails, giving me an unknown error.

Any idea what might be going wrong??

Thanks for any help.
