The saddest thing ever - WOW Radio!!

Not only were you so insecure that you did give a damn, but another admin at your own site apparently doesn't agree with you in regards to the "mainstream" idea you seem to espouse (I don't see nearly as many WOW references in popular entertainment as SW references, but that's just me.) That guy seems a lot more level-headed, and not nearly as miffed, as you are. I might add, also, that you brought the fight here. You should have taken his advice.

When someone slanders your work, it is the natural reaction to go and mount a defense. Since the original post was so mindnumbingly retarded, especially from a supposed father and I quote 'The saddest thing ever!'.

Yeah you see my staff are actually allowed to be open-minded and express their own opinions. They can disagree with my point of view all they like and react as they wish, either way they don't resort to slandering someone elses hard-work so it's all good in my book.

Then again, it's apparently your radio station, so a personal, emotional response is to be expected. I'm sure we can expect more in regards to this post as well, all hidden behind the "more attention for me and my website" charade. Here's a tip: get a puppy.

Irrelevant blitherings and nothing practical I see, unfortunate. Just points out the flaws in trying to justify flaming other people's work.

And "Little ones"? LOL. So much for dropping stereotypes. Too bad we can't live in a world where people can have a difference of opinion - oops, except for Cadwallion, that is. I hope he doesn't lose his posting privileges for that breach of solidarity.

Oh please. Don't try and pretend that you actually know how the structure of our organisation operates. No-one is forcing anyone on my staff to think in any particular way. Unsurprisingly, other staff members who also put a lot of effort into putting out free entertainment for people at the cost of their own time and money, were rather upset about the whole thing. They don't particularly like to see people slandering their good name, as would anyone IRL. How you can possibly justify that is beyond me. However they have chosen not to post and let me take all the flak as per usual. Which is fine by me, if I can protect my staff, and hold the moral highground in this purile example of hypocrisy from posters on your forum then I'm all for it.

[EDIT]

Oh, and Fluffy said:

has recently consisted of nothing more than whining about the release not being in anamorphic widescreen (which I found quite odd, because surely if you want the original, you cannot then want it improved with anamorphic widescreen, which was not in the original print

Since I don't want to be a member of your website, you might want to pass this link along from the Star Wars website :

Limited Edition Framed Film Cell from Star Wars: A New Hope

Manufacturer: Rye by Post
Release Date: 01 Apr 2005
MSRP: 69.99 USD
Country: United States

Description:
Capture a moment in cinematic history with a limited edition set of film cells from Star Wars: A New Hope. Each strip of 35mm film features four uncut frames from an anamorphic print of A New Hope , complete with sprocket holes and optical sound strip. Each film cell is unique--no two are exactly alike--and comes in a limited edition size of 1000.

Paired with the striking Star Wars Style "D" poster artwork, each film cell is mounted with a transparent back to allow for illumination from behind. Display in front of a window or simply hold it up to a light source to bring the film cell imagery to life. Both poster artwork and film cell are matted in an 8x10 inch frame, with title and edition number denoted on a metallic plaque. Comes with certificate of authenticity. Link

I'd hate to see someone going around making clear their ignorance of Star Wars and theatrical terms in general, and on your own boards, no less.

I'll point out his mistake. Though I do not see even him rubbishing your site as 'the saddest thing ever!', or various other childish remarks involving copious use of the word 'nerd'.

And to answer the point of how we even found you guys. This thread gave us a good number of referrals which our advertising tracker picked up on. All publicity is good publicity after all, despite how many insults are hurled in the process.

Sadly, anyone can breed, this is not a badge of achievement, most of the time it is a monumental failure (which is why the world is full of idiots). A failure is what he will also be if he teaches his son intolerance, biggotry and hypocrisy in the manner of which he now demonstrates Needlessly slandering someone elses hardwork, which 100s of 1000s of people have gained enjoyment out of, is about as childish as one can get. Let's face it, the cause you lot followed was hardly the best use of your time ever either, but you didn't see us come along and slag you off for it. Guess it's a case of do as I say, but not as I do aye?

Y'see little ones, this is the internet. You'd have to be incredibly insecure to give a damn about 'being a nerd' on it. There's 8 million people playing WoW. It's practically mainstream. The old tired stereotypes are falling to the ground and this should be something that you yourselves, who are considered nerds by the rest of the world should be very glad of. To the rest of the world, every single soul who posts on this forum is a geek, a nerd and any number of other, more vile words. By daring to criticise the work of others, you simply prove yourselves no better than they. As one might put it, good game..

The only interest I have in keeping this thread going is for the free referrals we're getting from it, earns us some advertising cash and of course the distant and out-there hope that you might see the hypocrisy within your own posting, and this is a good thing

It's the saddest bloody thing ever. A radio station talking about a bloody game...what to be, the best character, what to do...Oh my god!!

It's one thing to play the game that sucks all your life away, but to listen to a bunch of saddo nerds talking about the best way to play...well call me whatever you like, but Jesus this is sad beyond all sadness.

I'm sorry I've just had to compose myself due to laughing my arse off at the irony of someone posting on the 'Fight for Original Trilogy DVD' forums, with almost 2000 posts, calling other people nerds over the internet. No offense to your site or those who post it, but you sir specifically.. well...

I have an image macro for this occassion.

EDIT: I've now lost the will to live!!!!

No please keep talking! There are still a few of my braincells that you haven't murdered with stupidity.

Thanks for the free referrals by the way! You have contributed to an organisation which is significantly more successful and well-respected than this one <3 Jedi Master Hotrod.
