plain letterbox cropped: http://rapidshare.com/files/6998231/godstorylinePlainExample.avi

reframed: http://rapidshare.com/files/6999260/godstorylineReframedExample.avi

This was done with the divx file from bruceleedivinewind.com so it'll still have pretty bad video/sound quality but wont be quite the lego looking experience of google video.

Hey 5acrifice,

Not sure if you downloaded the video I sent you a link to in a PM but I threw together another example video.

This clip shows part of the storyline footage with a plain letterbox applied

This one is the same footage reframed shot by shot to avoid some of the problems with the straight letterboxing, also avoids showing any of the subs as well.

Idea: Preserving STAR TREK - a preservation project?
Time
Hey everyone,

A few years back I did a DVD-ROM conversion of the STAR TREK: Borg game. It included a new installer with the patch integrated and some tweaks to the game to function fully on NT based systems (2000, XP, etc). Not switching discs was of course a big bonus as well. If it would classify as a preservation I would gladly integrate STAR TREK: Klingon into the disc as well and make similar changes as I did with Borg. Anyone here have the game and/or interested in this?

For whomever would like to put together a preservation of just the video I'd gladly send them all the video for borg. There is around 96 minutes of story footage total, plus another 36 minutes of information to help you along the way in the game. Since there is only one 100% correct way of getting through the game, it could just be edited together to form one "episode". You of course lose the whole choose your adventure aspect of the game doing this but for those that would just end up annoyed by the trial & error and minor puzzles, this would be better anyway.
