How to capture HDCP-encrypted HDMI sources (Vudu, Netflix, Directv, Virgin Media, etc.)
Time

Hello, I´ve sent the Supercast X6 back because of stuttering issues during watching & recording.

I´ve already read that the CaptureX HDMI 1080P have the same stuttering issues so I won´t buy it. http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/334145-HDCP-strippers/page17

My config: I have a STB with hmdi and spdif out. I also got a hdfury 4k splitter. I want to watch / capture 1080i50 PAL via HMDI with 5.1 over SPDIF.

Is in fact the Hauppauge Colossus the "only" solution because I can use SPDIF input which ignores the SCMS copy protection of the STB? In my opinion 20MBit/s x264 recording is good, but the card is quite old...

Or can I also use the Hauppauge HD PVR2 GE Plus with SPDIF in? Does it ignores SCMS or not? If it does, is 14Mbit/s not enough for h264 recording?

I also don´t see any advantage if i will buy a Decklink Studio 4K or Decklink 4K Extreme. I´m not an expert but in my opinion both can´t record AC3 if I look at the specifications, or am I wrong?

How to capture HDCP-encrypted HDMI sources (Vudu, Netflix, Directv, Virgin Media, etc.)

Hello, just received the card (Supercast x6) from Japan.

Unfortunately I can´t get it to work properly, with the Supercast X6 recording application the picture stutters every 10 seconds if I put in a 1080i PAL PVR signal via HDMI.

I will wait for another driver before continue testing. A user already said the same in this thread here before.

If somebody knows a beta driver that fix this problem please post it here because my japanese language knowledge is zero.
