Hello, Stranger,
I was an older kid in 1988, and my parents took me to see “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” in a local theatre (in June, I think).
Well, anyway, other people keep insisting that I am crazy, but what I am about to say is TRUE. I just want some confirmation after years of being declared “insane” online.
So, my around-a-decade-old self was watching the movie, and two scenes stood out to me:
1.) Jessica was singing. Right before the last note of her song, she pulled Eddie’s tie, saying, “Hey, there, Buster! Stop mess in’ with my man!”
2.) I swear that I remember the “Nice booby trap!” gag, but I remember / also (?) remember a moment during that exact same scene (Captured in the Acme factory) wherein a weasel pulled down the top of Jessica Rabbit’s dress, revealing two large, featureless boobs! Eddie then said, “Nice boobies!”
I KNOW that I’m not crazy for a few reasons:
1.) Mom actually explained that Eddie was complimenting Jessica, and I laughed, ‘cause I already understood.
2.) That Summer, my parents were joking, and Dad started to joke with Mom about that scene, and she freaked out, ‘cause I was laughing nearby.
Why in the name of anything reasonable would my father joke about a scene that was never in the movie?
Thank you forever to ANYONE who can confirm that these deleted scenes (ESPECIALLY that SECOND one) EXIST! I KNOW what I saw!
Bye, Now,
The Topless Jessica Rabbit
