If we were on a "heavily regulated" forum, I doubt that 3/4s of the stupid shit we post would be here. This is the least regulated forum I've ever been on.
They added a mandatory recitation to the Film Analysis class that I have to take on Tues and Thurs, which means my hours are bumped up to 17. I am definitely dropping the Optional Bio Lab I had for Thursdays, so it'll drop down to 16 again, but it still means that on my previously CLASS FREE Tuesdays that I actually have to do something.
I've never really listened to The Beatles much, maybe that'll be my next thing that I immerse myself into. I find that once I find someone I like to listen to, I tend to listen to JUST that and not much else.
Sure, it helps you REALLY delve and know all that you possibly can about that particular group or whatever, but it is VERY time consuming.
Perhaps you found out something you enjoyed tremendously more and then realized that you were never truly entertained by whatever it was before and you realize it just passed time and diverted your attention away from your troubles. Troubles that could have easily been rectified were you not "wasting" time on the aforementioned activities in the first place.
Also suppose the thing you enjoyed tremendously more was ALWAYS there, but you didn't take advantage of it for whatever reason(timidity, etc)?
Its a vicious cycle, and one that is VERY hard to break.
Of course, it wasn't necessarily the case for me, but its close.
